I'm thankful there are still Catholic filmmakers out there making movies. They didn't compromise any of the story. Their intention here was not to give you deep theology but to tell the story surrounding the messages. Thanks for making it!

This movie portrays ALL the characters as Christians that are crazy psychopathic murderers. If your a Christian you will find it so offensive.

Well done, well made, but kinda of took a huge nose dive at the end. The movie was atmospheric and brought you through a very solemn place but at the end it just did a 180 and had this band playing music like at a Mega Church. No disrespect to the band or song. Watch the movie, it's good and profound but the band at the end just shattered all the poignancy that the director effectively delivered. The band was just totally out of place. Hopefully the next movie won't have such a 180 at the end.

But a good movie to watch.

American here chiming in: Kept my attention the whole way through. Good job on the period piece aspect. You can't ignore Lupa's organic performance along with the others. Great acting. Would have gave it 10 but gave it a 9 due to budget. I'm sure it wasn't cheap to make and by no means was it a low budget movie or feel like one, but they didn't have "Star Wars" dollars, so that's why a gave it a 9. Loved it and will watch again. Marvelous!

Winchester (2018)

It's hard to find a decent ghost/horror movie. This one is VERY GOOD. Story is good or the 2 A-List actors wouldn't have done it. Costume designer A+. Of the literally thousands of horror movies I've watched, -at the top of my head I can only think of around 20 that were actually good. This one is in that list. Horror is my favorite genre too.

Loved it! Good story that should have been told. High quality, High acting. Pretty sure the Norwegians were meticulous it making it a great movie given the story. They succeeded. Loved it!

The first time I saw this I thought it was a pretty good action movie. The second time I must have been in the right mood. On second viewing I thought to myself "this is actually pretty good art". As usual Jackman acted great in all of scenes but the one at the funeral was so powerful. I think everybody on the set knew it when they shot it. Very good movie!

Definitely a faith based movie so if thats not your "cup of tea" then this movie is not for you. The theology wasn't a bullseye but it hit it's intended target. With that said I didn't find anything that offensive. If you go in with that in mind then you will probably enjoy the movie. I did.

I don't think it was Halle Berry's fault, but it was just annoying to see her performance. Because of lack of story and depth I don't think she could have played it any other way. I'm not pro Halle or con Halle, I just don't think it was her fault.

Refreshing! I'd like to see more movies like this. Jason Lee anchored it for me. His character was a good character and he played it very well. Brighton Sharbino was a good decision on the casting director's end too. Everybody was great. I never wrote a review on IMDB but felt compelled to write one for this movie. Enjoyed it a lot.
