The Saving grace of Season 9

I legitimately can not believe that Eric Wallace both wrote and directed what had to be without question of of the top ten episodes of the whole show. The season so far has been an absolute waste of time, other than the Oliver episode. I really hope this episode signals a turnaround for these final 4, because if they're all as epic and emotional as this.....then what an arc we'll be in for.

The dialogue and directing in the episode are top notch and the way that certain things come full circle are beautiful. I legitimately hope the rest of the arc is this good but I'm worried it peaked after its first episode, fingers crossed it didn't. You've redeemed yourself Eric....for now...

The Flash: Armageddon, Part 1 (2021) Season 8, Episode 1

Season 8 Starts Strong but slightly flawed

Season 8 comes out of the gates swinging, showcasing Barry at his most powerful. While the A plot for the episode held my attention the B plot was unfortunately nowhere near as interesting. Eric Wallace's inability to see that we don't want Subplots with Allegra as the focus character is his biggest flaw as a showrunner. If we ignore the B plot while judging the episode (I always do) I would say the biggest problem this episode has is the villains of the week " The Royal Flush Gang". Although weak Side Villains is more a problem I'd attribute to the show as a whole.

The Last thing I need to talk about is the Main villain for the arc ,(for now) Despero. He prevents a great physical threat to Barry in ways villains like Cicada never could. In this episode and the following two, Despero's character is given some interesting motivations. Unfortunately they are partly undone in part 5 but I'd like to think some of the things he said were true. In conclusion Part one of Armageddon is a solid opening that Sets up the next 4 parts in a satisfying way.

Great fights mixed with Pep talk fest

This episode has to hold the record for most pep talks,not only were there a lot, they were all basically the same. I can handle maybe one or two but any more than that makes me wanna throw up. Moving to the action side of things, all of the fights gave me season one vibes,and after finishing The Godspeed Imperitave Arc in season 7 I'd say this was a good setup.

A COOL use of 40 minutes

Being one of the earlier episodes of The Flash this episode is nothing short of amazing. The acting from Wentworth Miller is great. Even the action sequences are awesome. These were the glory days of Flash.

The Flash: License to Elongate (2019) Season 6, Episode 6

A fun break from a dark season

While a lot of people tend to say this episode is meh I honestly think it's really good,it provides some good emotional moments and is also just a fun 40 minutes in general. If I had to cut out one thing it would be the Cecile B plot but other than that I enjoyed this episode as I enjoy all Barry and Ralph team ups.

One of the worst episodes of The Flash

Wow. Where to even begin.....after the amazing last 2 episodes this was just a massive disappointment. The writers were on something while writing this because the power of love was used wayyyyy too much in this episode. Don't even get me started about how they wrote out Ralph.... HE'S LITERALLY THE EASIEST CHARACTER TO WRITE OUT. If you ever want an example of a low point of the show look no further.

A goofy sendoff to an amazing character

I love when the writer stop taking the show seriously on purpose. If there was one way to send of Cisco it was a silly adventure. While the actress for the villain wasn't the best her motivations were pretty good. On the writing side of things this is the most I've laughed during a tv show in a long time.

The Flash: All's Wells That Ends Wells (2021) Season 7, Episode 1

A good episode with emotional impact

Just as last season looked like it would be the death of the flash but it wasn't I thought they were gonna do the same thing here with Nash and the Wells. But I was wrong,they actually killed them off....a move I was not expecting. Let alone in the season premiere. While I don't really care for the Mirror verse Iris story this is still a very good episode.

A good emotional episode

This episode feels like it could be from one of the earlier seasons. While it may be lacking on the action it deals with the themes of grief and acceptance. It also makes Nash's death in season 7 even sadder. All in all a good use of 40 minutes.

A great start to the Godspeed half

There are many great things about this episode. Such as the absence of Iris. With no Iris in this episode it allowed Barry to be Awesome and not the Romantic weirdo he is when she's around. Another great thing is that we got our first speedster fight since season 5 and wow it was good. I think the show is going a good job of transitioning Chester into Cisco's role. As much as I will miss him he is going to need a replacement and chester is the perfect candidate.

The Flash: The Speed of Thought (2021) Season 7, Episode 2

THE BEST THE FLASH HAS BEEN IN YEARS

This episode blew my expectations out of the water. I went in thinking it was gonna be another cliched episode where Barry learns a new power but BOY WAS I WRONG. This episode evoked heavy feelings of the early days of the show. The conflict is very interesting and the dialogue is amazing. The only bad thing was undoing Nash's sacrifice.

Overall this will go down as one of my favorite episodes of the show.

An excellent/flawed finale

Did this episode have problems? Yes. Was this the best finale in a long time? Also yes. The Fight with the Godspeed clones was Lackluster but the Godspeed vs Barry and Thawne was amazing (even if it was a little cheesey). I'm very glad they didn't talk Godspeed down and give him a kiss on the cheek and let him go like he did nothing like the other villains this season. If I had one problem with this episode it was the vow renewal at the end mostly because of the AWFUL dialogue.

All in all a good finale and I'm looking forward to an overall better season next season.
