Joe shows Barry a book of suspects and Barry identifies Leonard Snart as the leader of the group. Snart revises his plan to steal the Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond and gets a boost when he gets his hands on a stolen "cold gun," which could kill The Flash. Dr. Wells is furious when he finds out that Cisco built the cold gun without telling anyone and now it's missing. Meanwhile, Iris is getting the silent treatment from Joe because of her relationship with Eddie. Written by Jiilo_Kim

"Cool" villain makes the difference
31 March 2016 | by Fluke_SkywalkerSee all my reviews

Sets the metahuman freak of the week thing aside (for one week at least) in favor of a more conventional villain. Well, a more conventional comic book villain. I doubt there are many bad guys with a freeze ray in the real world. Though his backstory and personality are much different, Captain Cold is basically Mr. Freeze. Though they could've done a bit better with his set up, once he gets rolling he's easily the best baddie yet. A lot of the credit goes to guest star Wentworth Miller ('Prison Break') who brings an icy menace and a little star power to boot.

What's impressive about The 'Flash' so far is that it finds time for character development and relationship building amongst the action and carnage. Even the supporting players all get a little bit of dramatic gristle to chew on. With the dramatic, non-action focus on the romantic side this week, "Going Rogue" may lack the emotional punch of, say, the second episode, but with some fun action moments and a credible villain (who lives to fight another day), it definitely delivers strictly in terms of entertainment.
