A Biltmore Christmas (2023 TV Movie)

A New Favorite!!!

Hallmark just gave me a new favorite Christmas movie!!! I've always liked Kristoffer Poloha, and he had great chemistry with Bethany Joy Lenz. All of the support cast were great, as well. The Biltmore is an incredible place, and even though I was there over 20 years ago, it felt like I was just there while watching this movie. Jonathon Frakes was so awesome, and I love how the history of the home was incorporated into the love story of the movie.

I also love the writing and directing in this movie! Even though time travel is not a reality, it did not feel over-the-top. In a crazy way, it was almost believable! I attribute that to the writing and directing. The costumes and colors and scenery were all so good! It is definitely a Hallmark movie I will watch time and time again...Christmas or not!

I Heard the Bells (2022)

Excellent Christmas Movie!!!

If you are looking for a Christmas movie the entire family can watch, "I Heard the Bells," is an excellent Christmas movie! I taught Longfellow literature to high school students, so I was somewhat prepared for the plot of this movie. However, I was not prepared for the quality found in the writing, the actors, and the cinematography! Wow! I was completely drawn into the Longfellow family. The scenes in the home with the children are heartwarming. The scenes of Charlie with his fellow Civil War soldiers were just enough and not over the top. The church and the bell serve as an incredible centerpiece of the movie, and the love and hope can be felt to the core! This is a movie that can be watched again and again for many Christmas seasons to come!

Medieval (2022)

Worth the watch!

If you like films about the Middle Ages, then this one is worth the watch. Yes, it is much like other films in this genre (blood and guts and a little bit of a love story), but the director did a great job with angles and sequence and speed. Being based on true events, the storyline in Medieval is unique, as well. Ben Foster leads the film well, and the supporting cast, especially Sophie Lowe and Michael Caine do a nice job. It's not a movie that I will watch over and over again, but it was well worth the watch in the theater, and I'm sure I will watch it at least one more time when it hits the digital market.

Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater (2020 TV Movie)

Not bad, but...

This movie is not bad, but it's one of those movies I will only watch once. I loved the scenery and the decorations. Even the ugly Christmas sweaters were nostalgic. However, I never could just get into the story. It just moved a little too slowly for me.

Christmas Cookies (2016 TV Movie)

Pretty Good Cookies...

This is a nice little Christmas movie! I like cookies, and I love Christmas! It's the typical big city vs small town story, but it's definitely worth the watch. The small town charm will win your over and make you want to be a part of it...especially at Christmas!!!

It's Christmas, Eve (2018 TV Movie)

A Great Christmas Movie!

This is a great Christmas movie! The story is believable, and Tyler Hynes and LeAnn Rimes really connect in this heart-warming romantic-drama. Tyler Hynes, in my opinion, is one of the best actors around...making me believe his character in each of his movies. Of course, the music is great, and it embodies the spirit of Christmas...love and giving and connection! This is another Christmas movie I can watch time and time again!

Let It Snow (2019)

Lots of snow, but only a little bit of Christmas...

To be honest, I wanted to stop watching this after about ten minutes. However, I kept watching. Yes, it is your typical "teen romantic comedy" movie with a nice cast. I guess I expected a little more Christmas, which is why I wanted to stop watching. There were several stories taking place that confused me a little bit in the beginning, but I finally started to see some connections. Again, I enjoyed some of the scenes, and some of the scenes I wanted zip past. It's not really a movie I will watch again, but I am glad I took the time to watch once.

One of my Christmas favorites!

I'm a fan of Lacey Chabert, so this is a movie I was going to watch anyway. However, I'm now a fan of Will Kemp, as well! This is now one of my Christmas favorites! Nothing like a broken heart on Christmas that gets lifted up and "waltzed" into a new relationship, one that leads her back to something she has always loved! This is one you will watch again and again and again!

Christmas at Holly Lodge (2017 TV Movie)

A Lodge Worth Staying In

"Christmas at Holly Lodge" is another classic Hallmark movie worth watching. I found myself thinking, "This is a lodge worth staying in!" Alison Sweeney is a great lead, and the supporting cast helps keep the story moving and believable. The scenery is amazing, even breathtaking, as it should be. Not one of the best Hallmark Christmas movies, but it is definitely worth watching a couple of times.

I have always been a fan of Candace Cameron Bure, and she did not disappoint in this classic Hallmark Christmas movie! The story was original and great, and the actors really portrayed their characters well. This is the kind of movie I can watch multiple times!
