Okay folks, why don't you step away from the buffet table if all you want to do is nit pick about some petty discrepancies in this made for TV Christmas Feel Good movie. Candace Cameron Bure is at the top of her game and she certainly has perfected the Feel Good theme from earlier made for TV Christmas films that she has appeared in.
I cannot for the life of me understand why some reviewers want to point out that the cat has no kitty litter box or no food, or the cafe never seems to serve the diners? The plot is about a young lady named Lauren Gabriel (Candace Cameron Bure) who moves from the mega city of Boston to little known Springfield to accept a new teaching job. While in the process of landing a new job, life happens not only for Lauren but for a single Foster parent named Travis Mabry (Tim Rozon) and his foster child named Dylan Hart (Jesse Filkow).
There is a back story to Lauren's life which we learn of her being a foster child herself, and she has vague memories of her father which she holds onto by never relinquishing a Christmas tree Angel's broken wing.
This is a heart warming story about reliving childhood memories, serendipity, a positive family outcome and of course sprinkled all over with a good old fashioned new romance. So my advice to the film naysayers, I say put your pencil, paper and remote controls down or if you insist on continuing spend even ten (10) minutes watching CNN and you can find tons of mistakes and fake news. So just sit back, turn down the lights, and enjoy Candace Cameron Bure find a long forgotten and lost Christmas Angel, a foster child and true romance.
I give Christmas Town a commendable 7 out of 10 IMDB rating.
