The Wedding Veil (2022)
Feel Good TV at its Finest
Hallmark has missed the mark with the majority of their movies in recent years, but has finally turned the corner and is back to making a few quality movies again. This is one of the best and starts 2022 on a good note, mainly due to the cast. The movie has a story within a story, which makes it more interesting than most Hallmark movies. It's also really enjoyable to watch. The acting, the scenery, the costumes, and the music are top notch.
Winter Castle (2019)
Great story, great scenery and great pairing
The ice hotel alone is worth watching. This was a nice story and the pairing of the actors was great (not always the case with Hallmark movies).
Christmas Scavenger Hunt (2019)
Great Story
This one is better than most of the Hallmark movies as it had an interesting and fun story for a change. The scavenger hunt these was a lot better than the usual tree farm, pumpkin pie contest, etc. Of most movies. Kept my interest to the end.
When Calls the Heart: The Kiss (2021)
Worst episode of the entire 8 seasons
This episode caps off the worst season in the history of this series. If you have been watching since the beginning, you know that this show was feel-good tv at it's finest. Something we very much needed during stressful times. If you are a fan of Hallmark, you know what to expect. Season 8 turned this show into every other network tv drama and lost its way. Instead of a well-rounded episode each week with a thread that carries throughout the season, we were given a million tiny story lines, 95% of which never resolved. We were given scenes that came out of nowhere, character changes that made no sense and awkward on screen pairings that seemed manufactured to check a box on a checklist instead of something that was planned by the casting department with a reason in mind. This top notch cast deserved better and fans of the show deserved better. Do yourself a favor and stop watching after the birth of Baby Jack in the Christmas movie of Season 6. You'll thank me later.
