Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Game Night (2017)
Pretty good
They handled the issue way better and way more realistically than in "Moo Moo". But the plot itself wasn't very interesting.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)
Almost perfect police sitcom
Great comedy and surprisingly consistent (although it never gets stale). As this is a cop show almost every episode has some sort of mystery which do get predictable if after the first few seasons, but it doesn't spoil the fun. The overarching plot is also very interesting and after watching the show twice it's still fun to go back to. I like this show's approach to important issues as well for all of but some episodes which get quite preachy and frankly annoying. If it weren't for that I would give this show a 10/10 as it is one of my favourites.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Moo Moo (2017)
Good(ish) message, poor execution
As someone who isn't particularly fond of strongarm political messages, I like this show because of how it (most of the time) brings up issues like these without forcing it into the plot or making a huge deal out of it.
This episode shares those same messages that felt natural in previous episodes but did it in such a way that the identity politics were the central point of the episode, which again I wouldn't have minded so much if it kept the same vibe as other episodes in the show.
There was one point however which I did think was actively bad and that was that they dealt with the perpetrator as if he could not or should not be reasoned with, which I think sends a very bad message to people watching it, that these issued cannot be solved with reason.
On a whole however this was not absolutely painful to sit through and the subplot was better than the main plot.
