Surprised at it all. I didn't watch Poor things yet. I couldn't start it. However, this movie blew my mind. I was not familiar with the director, but it reminded me of Triangle of Sadness which was absurdly strangely stunning.
I would say that Kinds of Kindness is the triple genial sister of Triangle of Sadness, some of the themes are even related. This one drives them to the total extreme.
It is like a nightmarish triple or giant fairytale for grown ups. Love it.
Some say, great, but what is the purpose: for me the purpose is somewhat of a cleansing of the whole personal, societal and or family system by portrayal of the ugliest and most absurdist alter reality like in a Grims fairytale such as the one about the witch putting the kids in the stove to eat them up. Henzel and Grethel. And the awful parents that left them in the woods. Obviously these kind of movies are on the rise. Super interesting. But not for everyone.
