The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
Season 1, Episode 3
5/10
Change of tone in the series
1 February 2023
This episode did not feel as good as the first two. Focusing most of its running time on a backstory of two characters that are not relevant later felt unnecessary . I expected one of the two to make it out alive and as such we'd have a backstory for that character and get attached to him as he becomes a part of the cast. But having all of this done simply to relay the message to Joel to protect someone during these difficult times just did not click with me. It could have been easily done in a 10 min backstory, and could pick up right where the episode ended with Joel and Ellie getting all the stuff they need. If i wanted a romance movie i could just go watch one, having such a long story that is not so relevant in the middle of a post-apocalyptic series is just a mood killer, and the thought of it being done simply for an agenda makes it even more disappointing.

I hope the next episode picks up the pace and gives us a good plot just like the first two episodes.

Stranger Things: Chapter Four: Dear Billy (2022)
Season 4, Episode 4
10/10
Holding on to life
12 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Stranger Things usually delivers good episodes but this one definitely exceeded my expectations . The amount of emotions i got watching that last scene, wow!

The episode focuses mainly on Max, as it elevates her character to a whole new level. It explores her psychological state in a very good way : as Max faces the very possible reality of her own death she attempts to leave letters to her loved ones, and tries to find closure with her deceased brother so she can leave this world behind conscious-free. Yet as soon as Vecna arrives to take her life , her tough act is unveiled , as she starts to express fear towards her death and starts calling out for her friends and desperately tries to escape the villain. The culmination of all these aspects of Max's character made me so attached to her in this episode, resulting in such an impactful scene towards the end of the episode. Combine that amazing character writing with the music, cinematography and Sadie's phenomenal performance you get one of those moments that can be re-watched over a hundred times.

I may have a few problems with Stranger Things as whole, which so far have put it slightly short of some my top watched shows of all time, but I do believe this episode specifically is worthy of being talked about alongside some of the greatest episode to have aired on TV (in my opinion) , such as Ozymandias (Breaking Bad), Battle of the Bastards (Game of Thrones), Hero & Assault ( Attack on Titan) and Re: (Code Geass) as well as others.

Looking forward to season 5 and hoping it delivers episodes close to this one (or like 7 and 9 which were also very good episodes this season).

Breaking Bad: Ozymandias (2013)
Season 5, Episode 14
10/10
AOT VS BB
9 March 2021
This ongoing rating 1 war is just stupid. Both shows are amazing in their own aspect , and both hero and ozymandias deserve the 10. Now as too which one ranks first, that's just personal preference, i liked hero a bit more but that does not mean ozymandias drops from a 10 to a 1 for me. Try to genuinely watch both series or don't rate at all
