AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)
Mortal Kombat; Resident Evil; AVP (Paul Anderson, why do you do this?)
I personally am a big fan of both series, I got the Alien Quadriolgy; all the Aliens, Predator & AVP novels, Predator 2, and even bought the new special edition version of Predator. Both series, at less the Alien series, are epic already, which means that AVP shoul;d have been epic, but it wasn't. Is this another disappointment from Paul Anderson on every a such loved series, he already messed with Mortal Kombat (which wasn't that bad but the sequels sucked more) and Resident Evil (which was a good movie, but was very different than the games). But as I've heard thorugh the grapevine, AVP is not all his fault? I've heard there was many, many scenes cut from it by the studios to make it PG-13 (which make snot sense since all the other Alien & Predator movies are rated R). This properply explains one of my disappointment of the length of the movie. I was just so excited about this movie and then was disappointed. If they make a sequel to this hopefully it is done well!!!
American Wedding (2003)
Best Squels Of 2003, This Is One Of Them
I Remember being 13 and dying to see "American Pie" with all the sex content and the nudity. I ended up finding that the movie was awsome, one of my favorite comedies. It inspired me to watch other teen movies liek "Porke's" & "Road Trip". Then I found out that their was an unrated version and I bought that on VHS (before I fell in love with DVD and Letterbox). I was hoping to see more of Shannon Elisabeth, but still it was cool. Then I heard of "American Pie 2", the sequal where everyone comes back. And that was true. I actually saw this one at the theatre, twise. I also bought the Ultimate Edition of the first one on DVD during this time. I became a hugh fan. I gave it a 10 on here at IMDB and wrote a positive summary. I still love the movie to date. Then i found out "American Pie 3" was coming out, then they changed the name to "American Wedding" which i thought was a good idea. Jim & Michelle getting married what a good idea for a third movie. BUT, yes i said but, the movie lacked many great quality that made the second the best. Not everyone returned, and i understand why. Chris, Tara, Shannon & Mena did not return. Shannon's charcter ended during the second one, so I didn't even want her in the third. Chris said in one interview he didn't want to return because the second was so great, that they can't do better. (which was correct by the way). Seann said one on Conan that he didn't want to, but he read the script and liked it (also know he also felt the same why for the sequal to "Dude, Where's My Car?" and as far as i know is still doing it). The movie could have done well without Tara or even Mena, but without Chris it did not help the movie. Plus i didn't like it that they didn't even talk about the charcter "Oz". I did like how "Stilfer" ended up be the most unliked. But over all comared to all the sequals the came during 2003 (X2, Terminator 3, Matrix 2 & 3, Return Of The King, Freddy Vs. Jason, etc.) the movie did not match up to par.
Batman & Robin (1997)
Defently DC (Dumb Crap) Comics
I never liked the Batman's really, i do own "Batman Forever" because I'm a big fan of Jim Carrey, but I don't like watching it. I don't like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Latern, etc. DC Comics aren't good, I'm a big fan of MARVEL who now has their time with Spider-Man, DareDevil, X-Men, Blade, Punisher, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Captain America, etc.) DC movies at less seem to have no real realisum in their films. Sure all the actors are great (Mike, Jack, Danny, Michelle, Tommy Lee, Val, Nicole, Jim, Drew, Pat, Arnold, Geroge, Uma, Chris, Alisa, etc.), but that's because of other films. In the whole series batman has been 3 acts (Mike "Batman" & "Batman Returns", Val "Batman Forever", & George "Batman & Robin"). I really don't like the films at all, infact when i went to see this at the drive-in i fell alseep because it was much better than seeing this movie, all i wanted to see was Face/Off. THIS MOVIE SUCKS LIKE THE THREE BEFORE IT AND LIKE THE OTHERS TO COME.
Quiz Show (1994)
Television Was On Trial!
I watched this movie in my Video Lit. class, when we where watching 1950's Television and watched "Quiz Show" because it was about 1950's Television Quiz Shows. Well we had to do an essay on the movie and i thought wouldn't it be cool to put it on IMDB.com, so here i go:
In the 1950's television was new and the shows where good but you never saw it really effect people in anyway. That was true untill games shows from radio came like Twenty-One and 64,000 Question. In these shows you can see real people winning money and it's effecting their lives. When watching the show you see people like yourself answer questions that they might not know, and you never knew who was gonna win. That is why quiz shows where popular in the 1950's.
Then in the 1950's the people found-out of a scandal. When a show like Twenty-One was giving the answer to contestants on their shows so they could have reoccurring contestants. The people's vision of real people of the street was ask questions to see what THEY know, and not just to see reoccurring contestants. They were lied to, and they did not want that. In the outcome, game shows weren't watched.
One big argument of the show is that some people think that NBC who showed "Twenty-One" and Gertiol who sponsor the show should've got punished. Since the manager of the show said that he never told either NBC and Gertiol of the answer giving, they weren't. Personally i don't know what to think, Gertiol i don't care about, but NBC i do. They bring us great shows like "Saturday Night Live", "Friends", "Just Shoot Me", etc.. and they might not be if it wasn't for NBC. But then on the other hand NBC was running this show and should know of everything that was going on, so in which I can't decide!
Now, after awhile that game shows where still going on, but not a real popular hours, they made a come back to primetime. Shows like "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?", "Survior", and "Greed" became hits, because now shows know not to lie to the public, or at less we hope they do. Even the show "Twenty-One" made a come back, but i never left the ground.
It depends on your viewing public for trust. Now there are shows that we know aren't real, but they are still hits. Shows like "The Jerry Springer Show" (talk show) and "WWF" (wrestling) we know are fake and staged because they told us, and people still watch it because it's what they like. The there are shows like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and "The Rickie Lake Show" are shows that the viewing public wants and believes are real.
Scream 3 (2000)
Awsome, Awsome, Awsome
Well i first rented Scream 3 on DVD at Price Copper and the DVD was messed-ed, and all i watched was the 1st half of the movie, and i wanted to finish it, so i rented it again from Showtime. I was luck and the DVd wasn't messed-up.
I watched the whole movie, and was on the edge of my seat, cause by the Trailor when it says all rules can be broken i didn't know if Neve Campbell or David Arquette or Country Cox Arquette where gonna die, and i ain't gonna tell you. But this is one great movie trilogy.
for the longest time i never wanted to watch Scream cause i never liked horror movies, then one night i was thinking, "what the hell, why not?" so i put it into my VCR and watched, and when i say the begining of Scream with the girl (ain't gonna tell you who, incase you haven't watched it) was hanging from the tree, I stop the movie. I though that the move was gonna get a lot more bloody!
Well 2 years later, after people talk about all 3 of the Screams, i dicide to watch it, but i started watching it at noon, in the light, not the dark. And I was surprised, it wasn't as bloody as i thought, and before having watched "Scary Movie", I knew kinda what was gonna happen! Well i liked the first Scream, and so i kept the tape playing cause we recored Scream 2 after it. After i watched both, I really wanted to watch the third, because "Scream" is not anything like "A Nightmare On Elm Street", "It", or "Needful Things" whihc had a crazy blood scenes to what i saw. The Scream movies are like Mysteries, with Swearing, and Blood. They also have Comedy, special in the third one, which they did i little too much. But if you are not into Scary movies to much, just like me, and think "Scream" is really scary, well you are wrong, go watch it, the first part is really scary but that's really the most blood you will see!
Scream 2 (1997)
just as good as the First
This is one great movie trilogy.
Scream (1996)
Not as Scary as in the first scene
This is one great movie trilogy.
The Tigger Movie (2000)
Amazingly Interesting
Well my father rented the DVD of "The Tigger Movie" for my sister who loves Winnie The Pooh and as they watched it together, i was on my computer, slightly watching it time to time. I kinda got into the movie, and I never real cared about Winnie The Pooh. I found myself laughing at some of the kiddy jokes and stuff. It is very strange for a 15 year old guy who likes such movies as "American Pie", "Bedazzled", "Austin Powers", and "Chill Factor", to be interested in watching it. I mean this movie isn't one that I would rent, buy, or even watch again, but at the time I was interested in this movie.
Saving Silverman (2001)
Funny And Freaky
Saving Silverman is a real funny movie! I laught my heart out! But while watching it, some of the funny parts are also freaky! It has great comedians like Jason Briggs ("Loser", "American Pie"), Steve Zahn ("Happy Texas", "You've Got Mail"), Jack Black ("The Jackal", "The Cable Guy"), and the sexy Amanda Detmer ("Final Destination", and coming soon "The Majestic") and Amanda Peet ("Whole Nine Yard", "Whipped"). This movie is a must see for anybody 14 years and older who doesn't mind the few sexual jokes. But amazingly in the movie has an appearence of Neil Diamond, who never before appeared in another film (besides his own music films). But this movie is a must see for a true Jason Briggs fan, it's like his other movies, "Loser", "American Pie", "Jay And Silent Bob's Stike Back", & "American Pie 2". You've gotta see this movie!
If you would like to know this movie has only one nude scenes which is of two women being topless, other scens don't show anything, even though you might think so!
Loser (2000)
Romantic, Funny, And Right!
Loser! Jason Briggs (American Pie, Saving Silverman) is a Loser! I mean he can be a Loser, when you look at him, you see "L"! This movie shows how you got to be wearing the hippiest thing, drink beer, do drugs too be cool, if not people are gonna walk all over you! For both of these two losers, who are getting used by Roomates for a a place to party or by a teacher for sex and not being lonely! But they are Jaded, they don't see what's happening, untill they each finly understand each other, and more! Plus in this movie is a Everclear (songs i like by them "The Boys are Back In Town", "Wonderful", & "AM Radio") concert! See this movie for a good (not the best) Jason Briggs comedy!
Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Action-Packed Thrill Ride
I've got Leathal Weapon 4 on DVD. I had to get it after renting it. The awsome action scenes with the fire guy, train, boat, trailor, truck, fighting. They all rock. I saw the first and second Lethal Weapon, (still haven't seen the third yet). It's not just full of action, there's a small sad part at the end, and with Mel Gibson you always get comedy. Then on the DVD, there are delected scences from the first 3 Leathals, Theatrical trailors to all of them, behind-the-scences of all of them, then you got interviews with Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Renee Russo, Chris Rock, Jet Li, Richard Donnor, and Joel Silver, talking about what the think of each other, the relationships, the movie it self, and their charter. If you like a good action-packed thrill ride go and see Leathal Weapon 4!
American Pie 2 (2001)
The Funniest Movie This Year is American Pie 2
The Funniest Movie This Year is American Pie 2. In the trailor, they are not lying the whole cast (every single person) is back! I was laught through the whole movie. I can't wait to see it again, and get the DVD. Soon I'm getting the Ultimate Edtion of the 1st movie. The funniest sex jokes and believe it or not some non-sex jokes, but American Pie is about sex. Of course they is nudity of 2 sexy ladies, breast only. This is the best damn sequal ever along with Jurassic Park, Leathal Weapon, Die Hard, Scream. I demand anyone 14 years and older, who want to laught their ass off should see this movie, but only if you have seen the first one, if you haven't go and see, then go see American Pie 2, or you will miss the best movie of summer 2001!
Kiss of the Dragon (2001)
Awsome Action with Bad Parts
I saw this movie in the drive-in (along with Planet Of The Apes) with a good friend. We both saw the trailor, and thought it would be a cool movie but not one to pay for, but since we did wanted to see Planet Of The Apes we thought this was a bonus. In the movie there's an explosion part and a lot of fighting (of course since Jet Li stars in it). The stuff Jet can do just blows yor mind, the only other movie i saw him in was Leathal Weapon 4, and that was a very good movie. But in this movie there is one big whore part where she has sex, but keeps her clothes on kind of. Then the other star (Fonda) was a whore, and then there was drugs in the movie. But then the action takes the bad parts out and makes a awsome. I tell other to see if they like Jet Li films, or just find it intresting, I know the rest of my family feel asleep during it, so it's not for everyone!
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Got To See Again And Again!
2nd night the movie opened, i went to the drive-in (along with Kiss Of The Dragon) and watched it with a good friend. We both thought the movie was awsome. He had already seen the older Planet Of The Apes films and stuff, but all I knew about it was Talking Apes Controlling Humans, but it is so much more. I would love to tell you all about but I don't want to give it all away. Everyone "BOW YOUR HEADS!" cause you MUST see this movie, and go see it again. See it till you're eyes bleed. The make-up makes the actors really look like monkeys ("No! We Are APES!") It really is amazing, but don't take my word for it, go see it for yourself! Again & Again & Again & Again...
Plus, go see it again, haha
Down to Earth (2001)
Really Funny But Could've Been a Lot Better
I just watched this movie, and that was gonna be the only time. The comedy in this movie was really funny, and Chris Rock is one of the most funniest comedians in Hollywood. But in the movie they could've showed him as the old white man, there was about only 3 times you saw him as the old white man. And you never heard him talking in the voice of the old man, which would've made the movie a lot better. That is the only thing I hated about Down To Earth, everything else was awsome. Go see the movie, and watch it before they buy it. You will thank me.
Jurassic Park (1993)
It's A Good Buy
I have Jurassic Park on DVD along with The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and I plan on getting Jurassic Park 3 when and if it comes to DVD. The graphic's alone are awsome, but then action, and then he Speical Featurese are also great. It's real good. Same Neil, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenbotough, Laren Dern, Bob Peck, Samuel L. Jackson, Wayne Knight, all brings there great talents. If you haven't seen this movies, then you haven't seen the break-through for Hollywood. The new technology they use help make future hits like, "Deep Blue Sea", "Hollow Man", "The Mummy", "The Mummy 2" and much more. So watch this hit movie
AC/DC: No Bull (1996)
ROCK N' ROLL AIN'T NOISE POLLUTION
I have this concert on DVD. I am a big AC/DC fan. The whole concert is full of awsome hits like, "Hells Bells", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "Ballbreaker", "Highway To Hell", "For Those about To Rock (We Salute You)", "T.N.T.", "Hard As a Rock", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Thunderstruck", "Hail Ceasar", "Back In Black", "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", and much more... This totaly rock, i can't wait till the release a newer concert from the "Stiff Upper Lip Tour". Plus on the DVD you get the music video to "Hard As A Rock", and behind-the-scenes making of the music video. I'm telling all you AC/DC fans, BUY THE DVD, cause nobody's gonna rent it. And it rocks!
Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Really funny with some gross parts
I have the movie on DVD and it rocks! I'm a big Jim Carrey fan and this was deffinately better than the movie before "Man On The Moon". Well in the movie, you see a dildo and Hank Evans (Jim Carrey)'s penis grow. Plus in the deleted scences, there's a couple parts about him screwing a watermelon. Not good for youngsters, but is kind of funny. Plus on the DVD is a music video of Foo Fighters "Breakout" which is awesome and funny. I recommend this movie to anyone who is not offended by adult humor.
Man on the Moon (1999)
Funny the first couple times
I've got this movie on DVD. I am a Jim Carrey fan. This movie was good, and had funny parts. In the movie you see many other actors like Danny DeVito, Courtney Love, Norm MacDonald, Christopher Lloyd, and much more. But after awhile the movie got boring, and is the most boring DVD i have. Only things i like about it is the fact that Jim Carrey is in it, and the DVD has 2 R.E.M.'s music videos of "Man On The Moon" and "The Great Beyond". I tell others to rent this, don't waste your money till you've seen it.
