Censored
24 September 2022
I agree with the authors that the evidence presented in the film shows that widespread, coordinated voter fraud in the 2020 election did occur. For some reason, watching ballots stuffed into boxes is more convincing than believing ridiculous tales about Russian collusion. The film makes you think about what else might have been rigged in the land of the free and even more importantly, what else is going to be rigged next.

I would like to say more but the last time I did so they deleted my review. The censorship here is so tight that I would not be surprised if they pulled this review as well.

Won't make conspiracy theories go away
20 August 2022
I normally listen to documentaries while doing something else around the house. The first 2 episodes you have to actually watch. This is because talking is done mostly by the French and the translation is only by subtitles. These 2 episodes are about the investigation done by the French police.

The next 2 episodes are about the Stevens enquiry and talking is done mostly in English.

All the key figures on both sides of the Channel are interviewed. At first it looks like you'll be getting a comprehensive answer to all questions. However, towards the end I couldn't help feeling that there are gaping holes that are not properly covered, whether deliberately or not. The French just dismiss questions left open by their investigation out of hand. And the British united front about the conclusions of the Stevens enquiry just reeks of a cover-up. The end result is that instead of making the conspiracy theories go away this series is likely to boost them.

Yet another hit job
12 July 2022
At first this appears to be a documentary of the Trump family going thru the 2020 election but pretty quickly it becomes apparent that this is just another hit job. What gives it away is the hate. Try as they might, they are simply unable to say anything good about the man or his supporters.

Thru their hate, they actually help the guy. He must be doing something right if this bunch of liars despises him that much.

They say that because it's done by someone from the UK, it must be independent. Christopher Steele is also from the UK and this series is just as "independent" as his dossier concoction.

Need a lot of patience
7 September 2020
This is one of the slowest-moving crime documentaries I've ever seen. You can go out for a few minutes, come back and not miss anything significant. Otherwise, well made and doesn't feel cheap like many others.

Not recommended for those who value their time or don't have much patience. The quality of the stories simply doesn't justify the time and effort.

One scoundrel exposed by another, even bigger one
5 September 2020
Although I agree with almost everything this documentary says about Tony Blair, I cannot rate it because I dislike George Galloway even more. He will use every opportunity to push his alt-left propaganda.

Quite unintentionally, the documentary tells a separate story about Britain. What can one say about a country that has elected Tony Blair a PM 3 times and George Galloway an MP even more times?

Boring propaganda
3 September 2020
I decided to watch a few shows just to see what's behind the high ratings. Turned out it was an all-out anti-Trump propaganda. What was a big surprise though was how excruciatingly boring the show was. I neither learned anything new nor was ever entertained. It was even more boring than watching soccer! Hannity is just as biased in the opposite direction, but compared to Maddow he's like watching football or aussie rules.

Superb visuals and gripping action overriding numerous flaws
31 August 2020
I found this show to be a mixture of brilliance and blunders. Here are my pros:

  • Superb futuristic visuals, including various forms of space combat
  • Gripping action with graphic violence
  • Complicated, intricate plot and politics surprisingly believable
  • Strong characters with Firefly-type camaraderie

Here are my cons:

  • Numerous things defy belief, like Naomi Nagata surviving in the vacuum, ghetto-like inner cities and uneducated tramp-like belters
  • Drawn out, ridiculous sequences like detective Miller wandering around the protomolecule-infested ship
  • Main character (Holden) unbelievably Don Quixote-like idealist
  • Dubious plot elements like the ghost of Miller that only Holden can see or an alien infection miraculously eradicated by a medicine that Holden takes for his eye problem

Whatever its flaws, the show's pros are so strong that they made me overlook its cons and keep watching. IMO among Sci-Fi TV shows, only Firefly beats it in overall quality. It narrowly beats Dark Matter, but only because of superior CGI.
