Sherlock: The Sign of Three (2014)
Favourite Sherlock episode.
The best episode, in my opinion. My favourite by an obscene amount. The acting is supreme, the dialogue impeccable, the writing on another level. Hooked the entire way through, on the edge of my seat. Incredible.
Knives Out (2019)
Brilliant... mostly
My whole family are huge fans of movies like this, and we were really pleasantly surprised when we watched it. A good storyline which keeps you guessing, not very obvious either, with excellent acting and a sensational cast.
The only downside really was that the kid didn't get that big a part, when he could've been quite useful, and also Daniel Craig's accent was a complete and utter joke, the worst part of the film.
Overall really good, I'd watch again, even if that would mainly be for Chris Evans in a cable knit sweater.
Get Even (2020)
Brilliant.
I watched this series the week if cane out on BBC I player, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It follows a great storyline, one that could actually be realistic. It shows the corruption of private school, shows that everything is not as it seems, and gives the viewer perspective on something new, whatever that may be. I've now watched this three times, and this shows brilliance drove me to purchase the novels it was based on. The series is quite different from the books, but all changes are good changes, in my opinion. If you've seen it, I would definitely recommend the books by Gretchen McNeil too.
The writing and cast are wonderful, and the acting was so immersive that I was stunned my first time around that actors so young could bring a story to life so vividly.
My nine stars is only because of the differences from the books, as other than that, I have no complaints.
