Making the Cut (2020)
This is what Project Runway looks like with a multi-million dollar budget.
Unique global talent + stunning design + amazing destinations + killer music + a judging panel stacked with icons.
From Paris to Tokyo the landscape is a work of art in itself for the designers. Tim & Heidi were, as always, the ultimate hosts. The soundtrack to this show should be offered as a playlist because there's a lot of great music played during the runway scenes.
Landing Naomi Campbell as a judge was epic and I hope that she will return. Altuzarra looked frightened at times, gave obvious commentary and appeared overpowered by the rest of the panel. Not really sure about Nicole Ritchie or the "influencer" as judges, but perhaps next season will have even better choices. If we could only have Kors say yes to this, it would be a dream come true...
I really enjoyed every second of this show, especially seeing Esther and her creations. I wasn't 100% happy with the final winner, but then again these are professionals in the business and I'm merely a spectator. I truly felt that Esther deserved the win.
The Big Flower Fight (2020)
Wonderful, except for the host
This is a fascinating show with a great diverse group of talent. The only problem I found with the show was the resident judge Kristen Griffith-Vanderyacht. The show is not enhanced by his commentary, as there were plenty of other qualified hosts. I found myself muting the sound whenever he spoke, almost stopped watching solely because of that.
I hope the show films a second season (minus KGV) because this was a fascinating peek into a creative world rarely seen.
