Happy Days: Goin' to Chicago (1975)
The last of the good episodes
If you haven't watched Happy Days for a while, start with S1E1 and end here. You'll be reminded of just how good this show really was. Go any further, and you'll wonder how it could sink so far.
Here, Richie, Potsie, and Ralph sneak out for a night on the town while in Chicago with their high school choir. This episode, along with those before it, are very well shot, costumed, written, directed, and acted. If you could strip off the laugh track, you would think you were watching a movie - and a good movie at that. By the end of its run, Happy Days was truly unwatchable. Don't let that keep you away from revisiting seasons one and two.
Law & Order (1990)
Moriarty was awful
I've loved L&O forever, but wow, those early seasons were awful. I've been watching the early seasons lately and am stunned by how much I can't Moriarty's character or acting. Same goes for Duzundo, but at least he was gone after one year. Those two leaving saved the show. Thank goodness they left!!!
Flip This House (2005)
Why am I watching this?
Watching this for the first time on Dabl (over-the-air tv). Not sure what season, but it's the Armondo cast. Wow, what a bunch of unlikable people. Very little remodeling, lots of yelling. You may find yourself hoping they lose money on their "flip."
The Waltons: The Intruders (1975)
Out of character
Even our favorite shows have episodes that are clunkers, and this episode of The Waltons falls into that category. Everyone behaves out of character and often cartoonish. This is the only Waltons episode helmed by this director, and thank goodness for that. Transforming some of the most beloved characters in television history into this bunch of annoying caricatures is a feat you don't want to see more than once.
