The Weirdo (1989)
Hated it
Oh my what to say. It is just another horror movie. Not because it was supposed to be scary but because it gave me nightmares of bad acting. I almost fell asleep while watching this poor excuse for a movie. I just think that sometimes people don't think about what will sell and what won't. Whoever thought this was a seller had to be drinking the night before and came to work with a hang over.
Braindead (1992)
Funny, funny, funny!
A friend of mine practically bribed me to watch this movie. I was at first a bit skeptical. I mean it is a horror movie that I have never heard of and at the time there were plenty of other movies I wanted to see. So grudgingly I rented it. I must say that this is one of the funniest and creative horror movies I have ever seen. You have probably read many other write ups on this film and already know that this is considered one of the best horror movies ever. Trust me just rent it and enjoy.

Day of the Woman (1978)
Good enough
I actually enjoyed this film. What worked most for me is the music, or the lack there of. I think that the fact that this movie has no score to speak of it had a realistic effect on me. Many movies today use high budget scores and drain out the dialogue and the scary breathing that can cause a great effect. I do however only give it a marginal thumbs up cause it did seem to drag on a bit. All and all good for a one time watch through.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
A good watch
This movie is pretty good. I would bet that when this one came out that many wanted to see it. Mainly because they wanted Freddy and the Nightmare creators to redeem themselves after that extremely bad Freddy's Revenge. I know I was hoping for a little redemption. Even though this one was far superior to Elm Street 2 this missed the mark of the first one. Freddy became more of a clown than a boogeyman.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
Not worth the time
Horrible, horrible, horrible. I can't stress this enough. The story didn't even go by the Elm Street guidelines. The kids of the parents that killed Freddy were supposed to be the targets and then they throw this at us. Reminds me of the movie Halloween 3 which is another movie that has nothing to do with the others in the series.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
A Gem
This is truly a gem, as far as horror movies go. I can remember seeing this for the first time as a kid and I was under the covers shivering in fear. Now though it does take more to get that kind of reaction out of me. I have to say that this is one of my all time favourite horror films. Just see for yourself and remember when you are watching that this was original.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
The beginning
This is a weak start for the star wars series. It seemed proud of itself. I think that when a movie loves itself the way this one did it is really horrible. I thought it fitting and nice that the introductions were done and people felt sentimental. That is it though. People wanted Star Wars and they got it. It is a pretty weak Star Wars movie though. I wanted something more. It dragged in parts and was confusing to the non die hard fans. I must say it does get the passing grade but it is only because I am nice and in a giving mood.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
A good end to the series
This was a good yet predictable end to the series. I thought it was fitting and we know what will happen next. There were no stones left unturned and that is important in a series. I think this is the best of the Star Wars movies to date.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Family Fun
I really had a hard time with this one. I though it was slightly better than A New Hope but not enough to give it a better grade. The character development really goes into over drive in this instalment of the series. I loved the journey into their lives. I could only imagine the shock of the Star Wars fans when they found out the truth about Luke's past.

The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
Worth the watch
I like to watch horror movies but I rate them as to how scary they are. I would bet that in 1977 this could have made some people feel uneasy or even scared. Me it didn't and I scare pretty easy. I had to give it a passing grade though because I did enjoy the watch.

Rocky (1976)
Good to watch
This movie is worth a viewing every now and again but I must say it is quite boring in parts. Who cares about your love life. All I care about is the fight. More fight less romancing. Lets go Rocky. Don't bore us with your love life. We just don't care!

A Bug's Life (1998)
Enjoyable
I am not a big fan of computer animation. Mind you movies like Jurassic Park really need computer animation. For the purpose of true animation like other summer disney movies, computer animation usually does not hit the mark. A Bugs Life, however, does. The story was well written and the characters seemed real enough. Usually within a few minutes into a film like this I would be annoyed by the animation. Not with A Bugs Life. I hardly realized that this movie has almost over towards the end. A Bugs Life does have some frightening scenes and therefore parents should be warned. It is a good movie for all and I believe that parents will laugh at the humour with their children.
Anastasia (1997)
A fairly good film
I enjoyed this movie. It kind of played out like a broadway musical and that suits me just fine. The animation was very well done. The musical numbers were better than a disney movie. The characters were, for the most part, enjoyable. There is a warning on this movie though. If you are a parent don't be fooled by this "G" rating. The evil character Rasputin was played and charactistics of Satin himself. I must admit if I were a child I would have been frightened by some scenes. One in particular Anastasia was having a nightmere that seemed all too real to me. All in all for young adults this was a great movie.
