Having watched 4 Flanagan's series the only thing I know is he likes the cats to suffer.
20 October 2023
I watched "The Midnight Mass", "The Hounting of the Bly Manor", "The Hounting of the Hill House" and "The Fall of the House of Usher".

I think the last one is the least scary of all of them. And the only one where the last episode is much better than the previous ones.

In the Ushers there is no single character that would be interesting. Also there's a lack of the outstanding child characters which Flanagan can exclusively create (vide Bly Manor and Hill House).

If I had to rank these four series from the weakest one to the best one I would make the following order: 1. The Usher House (in spite of the longest sreen time of Carla Gugino) 2. The Bly Manor (great children characters) 3. The Hill House (great children characters as well as the superb first episode) 4. The Midnight Mass (building up a perfect immersion into the community; none of the episodes is neither much worse nor much better than the others).

Top Gun: Maverick is so much better

Warning: Spoilers
Than Transformers because it has no robots.

Ed Harris gets funnier every next movie. Still the same acting, but more turgent somehow.

Nice German product placement at the end.

Dull, pretentious, plotless.

Several famous Polish people related to culture gave their voices to dub this film. Subsequently most of the audience thinks the movie is deep.

Why so poor cinematography?
27 December 2019
The ambience is plastic-like like in the Phantom Menace. There is no true insight into the world that is to be created; everything is shown either in closeups or with an angle so wide that it looks as a commercial. The atmosphere of The Witcher is built exclusively on a gore violence, funny and redundant sex scenes and swearing.
