Bad casting
26 October 2021
Just wondering if anyone finds this disturbing. The main character was played by Catherine Haena Kim, (DOB May 19,1984) 37 years old. And the dad played by. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (DOB. Aug.16, 1972) 49 years old. So the dad was 12 years old when the daughter was born?!? I'm fully aware that the the movie TRIED to make the dad older and the daughter younger, but even with the simple math, the story line would put Lauren Kim age about 34.... Young dad at 20?!? The dad look way too young to be over 50 years old. Yet alone mid 50's.... Not sure which is worst, this or "A Christmas Melody", where Lacey Chabert and Mariah Carey graduated together.....with a 10 years difference in age. I guess Mariah was REALLY bad at school where she had to repeat each grade twice.😁

Christmas Town (2019 TV Movie)
2/10
A typical good feel movie.
4 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is your typical Hallmark Christmas movie, with the predicable story line and ending. I'm not giving the movie a low review b/c of this, I'm giving a low rating b/c the story line is poorly written, even for a Hallmark movie.

SPOILER:

This movie has a symbolic item, an angel. The wing broke and the dad sends it out to have it fixed.

Issue 1. Why would the dad send it out to have it fixed. Even back in the 80's there are a lot of adhesive that could repair the wing. Like Krazy Glue, Epoxy, hot glue gun.

Issue 2 When Lauren (Candace) sees a photo of his dad holding the angel hanging on a wall in a cafe, the owner Betty talked to Lauren, so she is aware that her dad sent this angel for repair "years" ago. This picture been hanging on the wall forever, Betty sees this picture on the wall everyday....you would think she memorized how this specific angel look like. Later on in the movie, her friend buys a "grab box" (a box with unknown items in it). She bring this box and opens it with Betty. Betty doesn't even clue in, instead say toss the angel outside with the trash.

Issue 3: The dad sends out the angel out for repair without the broken wing?!?

Issue 4:Dylan finds the angel in the trash, and says he wants to bring it home and fix it. A typical kid would go home and bring out the construction paper, Elmer glue and starts Macgyvering something.

If I dare to watch this movie again, I'm pretty sure I can find a lot more issues related to the angel.
