Awesome!
16 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Awesome kick start to the new season. Fantastic idea in my opinion, personifying (or demonifying if you prefer :D ) the seven deadly sins. Fantastic acting, great storyline and dean humour, everything we need for a fab ep of supernatural. Bobby (jim beaver) being in the first ep was a great addition too. I love the character and it is being developed More and more every season. The first episode had the new addition of katie cassidy playing ruby, and i was quite surprised to find that i actually quite liked her. don't get me wrong, i wasn't one of the crazy fangirls baying for her blood as soon as i hard about her, but i was increasingly uncomfortable about the thought of her being in the show. however, for the two lies she spoke, all was well lol. I commend Kripkefor allowing us to get used to her by introducing her quietly to this episode.

The addition of the hunter couple was a nice idea too. Leaves open some story lines for the reappearance of the wife in seasons (fingers crossed) to come (the husband unfortunately biting the bullet fairly quickly). There were a few things which made me cringe on this ep, such as pride and his 'heres johnny!' quip. Wrong, just wrong. But all i all i wasn't disappointed by season opener. Heres to many more to come *raises glass* XsarahX

Fab
16 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Yay for bedtime stories. I have to say i really liked this episode. The whole idea of the ep was great, a comatose woman using her inner child to wreak havoc in the shape of fairy tales. The whole twist was a nice touch too. Evil stepmother and all that, great idea in my opinion. The fight at the end was fab too, Dean v's the proverbial big bad wolf. Good stuff, I again liked the addition of the goryness of some parts. I think its nice that the show is allowed to add some more 'ew' moments to the episodes. A life battling monsters should allow for some hair raising moments, and i think its fab that there are more appearing in the show every week Really nice episode in my opinion, with some nice bantery moments between the guys, cool beans XsarahX

Chilling

Warning: Spoilers
Another fantastic episode. Great villain of the week, iv always enjoyed the whole changeling folklore. I found the idea of Dean having a son fun, although it was pretty obvious from the start that it wouldn't actually be his child. I loved the interaction between Dean and said child though. Having Dean being good with children adds a whole new level to his character. The action element was fab, gotta love the guys fight scenes. Im absolutely loving the addition of gore to this season. The scene with the bench saw was priceless. Hopefully the new addition of the gore and the other elements will pull some more viewers. I think this was the episode with Ruby's big reveal, which was a fantastic twist to her character. Her being a demon was a fantastic move. She plays her character with the same cool evilness tat meg brought to us in the first season hurrah XsarahX p.s. children creep me the hell out

LOL funny
16 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my god, possibly one of the funniest eps going, on par with Tall Tales. Absolutely awesome humour and timing from both brothers, Jareds performance absolutely killed me. It was such a breath of fresh air to see Sam in a humorous light, again akin to tall tales. I loved it! How the hell they managed to pull a full storyline from a rabbits foot is beyond me. And the addition of the gore, again, nice touch. Introductions were made to Bela. Must admit I'm not fully pulled by her character at the moment, I like how she is token antagonist but i dunno, still undecided i think. Anyways, this has to be a definite favourite in my book and a complete must see. We all know supernatural is generally dark, but i love the occasional funny ep as much as the next guy, awesome, thumbs up kripke! XsarahX

Great
16 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was slightly lacking this week i feel. I think it just because i love the show so much that i get super hyped up about new eps. It was a great episode, just not one of the best, and slightly forgettable. The whole Dean talking with the demon girl was a nice angle though, have to admit. Hes been slightly feckless and reckless of late, so it was nice to see a little vulnerability to be honest. Hurrah for the re-addition of the colt though! And for the appearance of bobby. Ruby's appearance again strengthened my opinion of her, though I'm thinking with the recent activity of katie cassidy, she probably wont be around long, most networks not wanting to be associated with actors breaking the law anyways, this episode this week was worth a watch but not fantastic but to be honest I'm not expecting to be blown away every single week, and this episode did perform well XsarahX

wowzers
28 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I have been neglecting my reviewing duties and so haven't gotten around to doing one for the finale until now. And wow, what a finale it was. *bows to the creative genius of Kripke and co.* The reintroducal of Ava and Andy was brilliant, and they worked brilliantly against the two new characters also. This is one of those brilliant but oh so sad eps. We got to see Ava and Andy again, but then had to say goodbye to them *sniff* I totally didn't see the whole evil Ava coming....and neither did Andy it would seem. Ava was a great special guest, which is why i was sad to see her go too, even with her new found evil character self. And if loosing Andy and Ava wasn't enough, we also had to say goodbye to Ash!? I loved his character and took it pretty hard. Excellent use of him brining in a big secret though, and then dying before revealing it. A definite way of keeping the mystery about the show. And the hands down saddest moment of supernatural so far.....Sammys death. We all know he was going to be brought back to life because you know, whats supernatural without dean AND Sam?! But it was still one of those heart wrenching moments which had me in tears (im a girl, its OK to cry at supernatural....saying that though i defy even a boy to not cry at that scene!). Especially that heart tearing 'SAM' from Dean. Got me right in the gut that one. oh before i go, i loved the whole dean having a vision thing, and his whole 'bring me some pie' routine in the beginning. It reflects the brilliance of the supernatural team when even during the most tense and saddening finale, they can still manage to inject some humour to keep things from becoming emo sad. (no offence meant) also round of applause for Jensen's comic timing which turns brilliant writing into fantastic delivery! awesome, that is the word i would use to sum up All hell breaks loose part 1! XsarahX make sure y'all watch it!

absolute, hands down brilliance
18 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has to be one of my most favourite, FAVOURITE eps of all time. It was heart wrenchingly beautiful, enormously sad, and absolutely charming. I had heard a lot about this episode before i actually got to watch it, but it lived up to, and blasted past, all my expectations. Dean gets to see how life could have turned out had hunting never been apart of his and Sam's lives. The acting surpassed anything i could and would have expected from Jensen and Jared, Jensen especially. His reaction upon seeing his mother for the first time, was so heart wrenching. He played the confusion factor brilliantly, the guys face is like a book, you can read everything Dean is feeling throughout the whole ep. There is an absolutely adorkable moment with a lawn moment, I just wanted to hug Dean and squeeze his cheek lol. Jareds acting as the wussy brother was brilliant. Sam would have been a complete soft touch if the deamon hadn't shown up when he was a baby put it that way lol. The addition of pictures of Jared and Jensen when they were younger, as a younger Sam and dean were such a brilliant touch lol, loved it. The attention to detail on this programme is phenomenal. Especially things like drawing your attention to the fact that Dean didn't have his usual amulet necklace, by using an uber shiny one which makes you go 'hey wheres dean necklace?' Anyway, the ending is brilliance on screen, the choice between everything you'v ever wanted, or the lives of everyone you have ever saved i bow down to the brilliance of kripke and the acting abilities of our guys *bows* definitely one to be watched over and over...and over ...and one more time :D XsarahX

Supernatural: Hollywood Babylon (2007)
Season 2, Episode 18

i liked it!
9 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Hollywood Babylon has been dubbed another comedic episode a la Tall Tales. Dean ends up becoming a PA, and much to Sams confuddlement, actually likes his job. The scene with Dean and his headphones is priceless and had me giggling all the way through. As this episode is based around a film set, the writers worked in some brilliant lines poking fun at the show its self, answering such questions viewers of supernatural might have. like 'if a ghost is in hell, how can it hear the incantation calling it back to earth'.... 'super hearing' obviously :p This is an all around laugh out loud episode which has some brilliant one liners as usual, and allows us to see dean in a more everyday job, and see how he would cope. I actually found Sam to be quite funny in this episode, his reaction to being on the Gilmore girls set, priceless. (jared was a character on Gilmore girls for those of you who don't actually know). also his crack about Canadian weather...again another jibe at the show itself. and utterly hilarious anyways, yeah, another good episode :) XsarahX

Warning: Spoilers
this has to be one of the more emotional episodes. for some reason people have been completely verbally destroying it, listing it as one of their most hated episodes. while ill agree its not one of my favourites, i didn't think it was that bad of an episode. i really liked the Madison character, although ill agree with people when they say how predictable it was that she was the big hairy scary monster person, that much was apparent to me from the get go. however, i what wasn't predictable was the emotional ness of this episode as of the second half. i really felt for Sam when he had to do the right thing at the end, and that single glistening tear from our emotion dodging bad boy dean...absolutely killed me! his expression, and defeated body language in the end clip, omg, that mans acting talent is absolutely fabulous. i think maybe the off putter of this episode was the Sammy sex scene, which is also my theory as to why people dislike route 666 so much. whilst it didn't bother me in the slightest, I'm thinking maybe the Sammy lovers out there (complete dean girl myself) weren't expecting it, and didn't connect to it. maybe a fangirlish jealousy? lol we'll never know anyways, though not an outstanding episode, i still really liked it... and there's always a chance now that the writers can include a more bad ass werewolf in the third season :D XsarahX

brilliant ep!

Warning: Spoilers
wow, this was yet another example of the brilliance of kripke's writers. i have to say though i totally had the twist figured as soon as the woman woke up alone i the car lol (im too much of a horror story veteran for such things to slip past me :P), but it was still thrilling to watch, and a brilliant performance by that weeks guest star. i loved the spirit villain, he was completely creepy! and the special effects used when dean blew the guy away twice with his shotgun....well they blew me away lol i re watched the two shotgun incidents again because i was just like wow, that looks amazing, so kudos to the special effects crew *claps* and yet again, round of applause for the acting talents of Jensen and Jared. they are fab in every episode. :D i loved how the twist was shown at the end, the montage of events, i thought that it looked brilliant and showed the boys researching (yay!)which we haven't seen an awful lot of this season. i love how the show shows you the process of the investigations before the action. yeah so anyways, i know i say this every time but this has to be one of my fave eps. and a great thriller after the comic brilliance of tall tales. :D XsarahX

Warning: Spoilers
This was another awesome episode. Im determined to comment on every episode lol :p The first five minutes of Dean-ness had me in fits. He had soooo many one hilarious liners, my spleen nearly ruptured! His relationship to that massage bed! oh my god, im having a quiet giggle thinking about it now! while it may not have been one of the most action packed episodes, it was still beautiful in its message, faith? or no faith? Jensens performance deserved some sort of award. His lack of faith due to his mother right up to his confusion at what he saw at the end...was brilliantly portrayed! I applaud kripke at his brilliance in being able to reveal a huge chunk of Dean's personality and why he is what he is using one line of dialogue....im in awe. Im referring to how he lost his faith after witnessing his mothers demise after her almost blind faith. Jared also deserves a pat on the back for his moving revelations about praying every night anyways, again like i say, not the most thrilling, action packed episode, but brilliant for its character developing ness! definite nine! 23 April 2007

whoa, this has to be a favourite of mine... *realises shes said that about almost every episode of season 2* but tis true, it was an awesome episode! Ronald was such a lovable character, he just about hit all the nails on the head with his research...except.....mandroid *snort* when he died it was actually quite sad...i loved that huggable little nerdy guy :D and *applause* for Jensen's acting on the scene where the FBI guy called him. totally believability about him being totally shocked to hear that this guy knew so much about him. and, although i did guess the ending minutes before it actually happened, it was still soo cool and so well acted! i thought that another storyline containing a shifter would be, to be blunt, boring. you know, been there, done that....but oh how wrong i was! this was worlds apart from 'skin', and is now one of my most loved episodes :D a really tense and thrilling episode! absolutely the right amount of action and mystery, along with a great twisty type of plot line to keep you second guessing yourself throughout. loved it! cant wait for houses of the holy! Wicked!!
10 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode. It was a complete nail biter, and edge of your seat kinda deal. From the re appearance of Gordon, who by the way in my eyes is a fantastic villain, to the apparent disappearance of Ava...it was fantastic! Jensen Ackles performances were again spot on. From his first fight with Gordon, to the soul splitting 'death of SAM', he was brilliant. Just the right amount of action and mystery to make it a fantastic episode! Kudos to the writers, and of course to the brilliance of Kripke. Ava was a brilliant character, just the right amount of angsty 'why me' behaviour, coupled with a bubbly personality to make a refreshing addition to the episode. All in all a FANTASTIC piece of work, and one of my favourite episodes... and while I'm here can i just add how much i loved that blood splatter on the camera when SAM blew up :D Xsarahx

loved it!!!
27 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This has to be one of my favourite episodes of both seasons. it was written fantastically, the tension was brilliant, and the Jensen with his huge hamster cheeks, and Jared's 'blah blah blah-blah' act was fantastic. It was great to see the boys perspectives from the same story. and i want a purple nurple! and the ending was brilliant! i hope the trickster makes another appearance! priceless as always, Bobby's part in the ep was great too, bobby is cool lol, i love the manly rapport he has with the boys, almost like an...extremely...older brother....or a caring uncle :D this was a fantastic episode, kudos to all involved, its nice to have one or two of these eps dotted about, just to lighten the mood once in a while... Definitely one of my faves :D
20 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode soo much!! I thought it was really well done also as who would have guessed that 'Meg' would have made a reappearance! Fantastic episode in my opinion. And may i add a round of applause to Jared's (aka Sam) performance as an evil being demon. His character took a complete 180, and he handled it fantastically! And of course Jensen's acting was on par as usual! He is such an asset to the show and I think his despair was beautifully portrayed! And yay for bringing back Bobby, i love it when he makes an appearance, he is such a fatherly figure for the boys now John is gone, and always pulls through....and doesn't even complain when he gets thrown into a wall by evil demons! Yay for friends like that. Jo was a nice addition also. Although i don't agree with a female hunter essentially tagging along with the boys in every ep, i think that the part she played in this episode was essential and smoothly added. I'm not as opposed to her being in the series as some people, and I really like her, Ash and Ellens roles as and when they appear. yeah anyways, i'm thinking you get my point here, one giant thumbs up to Kripke and his team of writers for this fantastic episode!1! 13 August 2006
i love the movie in general, purely because i watched it as a child and from the beginning decided that i liked it very much, I'm 18 now but i recently purchased it as i am still a huge fan of the book, as its so beautifully written, and hadn't seen it since i was very young. i would have given it an eight, but i think that there are a few things which could have been truer to the book, which i think i was slightly disappointed about. Also although i could understand the rabbit language (lapine i think?) that was used throughout, as i have very recently re read the book, i thought that audiences may have became confused as to what exactly was being said. but other than that i think its a beautiful film, and beautifully animated. film for the family XsarahX

wicked, i love this programme!
25 June 2006
after watching the full series i can now give a full verdict, and that verdict is that this show is amazing! i loved it from episode one, and I'm so happy that the network has allowed it another series, as just one wouldn't have been enough. this has got to be my number one favourite programme. I'm soo into the supernatural and paranormal, and this show allowed a look into the deeper side of incantations, magic and evils throughout many ages. and i think the producers couldn't have picked better 'brothers' if they tried. the believability factor that the two are actually brothers that care so much for each other they would happily die for the other, is off the scale. plus jensen ackles and jared Padalecki are eye candy enough for any girl. jared as sam brings a reluctant hero figure to the mix, wanting just a normal life, but with a darker side to the family he cant escape. hes the perfect actor for sam, and pulls off any of the many emotions that sam is required to have, but still being able to have a lighthearted moment now and again. jensen as dean is perfect. he has the wise guy, street smart cocky swagger down to a T, but enough for people (*cough* me) to find him incredibly sexy as opposed to annoying. he can pull off any funny moment, and often has me in a fit of giggles with a random comment placed in the right area. however on the flip side, he is adept enough as an actor to be able to show the underlying vulnerability that comes with protecting and being around his baby brother.

all in all there are a million and one things i could say about this programme, but i am going to let you watch it and decide for yourself, after telling you how much i LOVE this programme! happy watching XsarahX

utterly disappointed
4 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I have to say i was extremely disappointed with this movie. The only good thing being the visual effects, and the portrayal of the phoenix, besides that, there's nothing much to watch. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these 'the movie is nothing like the comic book' type of people, i loved the first two movies. There was just too many things that annoyed me about this movie for me to like it. Firstly, why on earth was James marsden's 'cyclops' killed?! that man is far too underused as it is in the movies for him to have been destroyed so easily and quickly within the first twenty minutes of the film. And i daresay i wasn't the only person in the cinema to think 'nah hes not dead, he'll return in a dramatic explosion and wupp some ass' only to be disappointed in the closing scene overlooking the grave stones. Another thing which i didn't like was prof x being killed. Come on the guys the leader of the x men! He cant just be obliterated! Rogue accepting the 'cure' was another bite in the ass. As a child she was my favourite character, and to see her reduced to being powerless, made no sense to me whatsoever! I mean, did they really plan on reducing the xmen down to just storm and wolverine?! And this is going to sound stupid coming from a teenager here, but the swearing was a little untasteful. The scene of kitty's rescue of 'the cure' was a little over the top. juggernaut yelling 'bitch' and her replying 'dick head' just seemed a little out of place. One last thing before i finish, there were any number of missing xmen during the movie such as nightcrawler, who could have had ample screen time had the directer not felt the need to focus the fight scenes solely upon storm and wolverine. No matter where or who they were fighting, those two characters took a prominent position. Again don't get me wrong, the fight scenes were impressive, but a lot more could have happened and could have been included. All in all i feel like i have been thoroughly let down by the producers and director of this movie, what a complete and utter anti climax. I had been looking forward to this movie from the moment i heard of its go ahead a year ago, and now i am left feeling cheated out of the £4.90 that i had to pay to go and see it.
