An amazing film that touches base on so many levels!
30 December 2009
I loved this film, every single second of it.

The world was totally absorbing and I was filled with excitement just exploring this new world with our hero. I found the romance between the characters touching and believable; the dialogue and performance was amazing.

The fight scenes are also utterly brilliant, I gasped as arrows, bullets and creatures went flying past me. I strongly recommend this film, words simply can't do it justice and I am convinced it will go down in movie history as a milestone for cinema.

The ticket was worth every penny; a remarkable film that truly demands your undivided attention on the big screen. See it now, you won't regret it.

Painfully low-brow
8 February 2008
I wouldn't say i'm the briggest Alan Carr fan in the world; far from it. But this TV show is a all time low for "comedy", its just pure awful. If Alan's voice doesn't have you clawing up the walls his dangerously lowbrow and highly insulting form of comedy will. It exploits the ridiculous stereotypes by using a bunch of Z list celebs and pits them against a cast of "ugly and thick" working class chumps. Nothing is sacred in this poor and shabby TV quiz show and it commonly falls back on fat people and Alan's gayness to fill in the void that is this shows content.

Avoid at all costs; your brain will thank you.

It's just Propaganda
12 April 2006
Well I will come clean and admit that I was forced as part of my history degree to watch this film, and then write a short film review as part of my grade.

Yet even if I had watched the film alone, at my own discretion I found it extremely boring and absurd. The style is dated beyond its years, and the acting is farcical. Rather than use dialogue they instead exchange eye popping glances at each other, or sometimes into thin air. For me, such over the top acting does not convey any greater emotion, and after seeing an extreme close up Ivan's face for the hundredth time I was praying for the film to end.

The most disappointing though is how wrong Ivan's character is. This man was nasty, his bodyguard's murderous thugs and his character cowardly. For me the film was nothing but a piece of Stalin propaganda, inaccurate and dull.

A great way to finish a excellent series
11 April 2006
First off, after watching all 51 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist, i was excited at the prospect of a Movie to conclude the series. All the cast are back, and slightly older than they were in the series.

Since the dramatic turn of events, we are brought up to speed with whats been going on in the time we were gone. All the favourite characters are back, and this movie takes a interesting spin on its location. The plot is a fast paced, actioned packed affair with even better fight sequences than the series.

So if you liked the series then this is the desert you deserve. It rounds things up nicely, and does it with style to boot.
