If You've Read the Book....Beware!!
30 March 2007
If you've read the book I think this movie will be a great disappointment. I was not at all impressed with it. I realize that putting a book to film is no easy feat, but if you leave out or change too much it really has an adverse affect on persons watching the movie. It took me three times to get through this movie without falling asleep.

Awesome pick of having John Malkovich for Galbatorix as well. The remaining actors/actresses are lacking in their performances in my opinion.

If you haven't read the book, you will most likely enjoy the movie a bit more.

Happy Feet (2006)

Entertaining for All Ages
30 March 2007
I really like this movie, more than I thought I would. It's very upbeat and the actors/actresses chosen for the voice overs is just awesome! If you have not seen March of the Penquins and have already seen this movie, I would suggest that you try to watch that first. The fact that this movie closely followed the life styles of penquins is truly an added bonus. If you've already seen Happy Feet, then March of the Penquins is a must see. Both movies are completely different from one another in the story lines, but being able to see some of those things really did make it that much enjoyable.

I give high props to the producers and actors for this film. No, I didn't rate it above an 8, but it's a strong 8! Everyone in the family should enjoy this movie from age 6-106. It's guaranteed to make you smile at least once and laugh a few more times.

Special Ed......Yay!!!
21 October 2004
Actually not a really big fan of Crank Yankers, but some of the characters make it worth watching. Special Ed is absolutely hilarious even when he's obnoxious. The special guest appearances by people such as Wanda Sykes, Dennis Leary, and a few others are worth watching. And of course any show with Tenacious D has to be worth seeing. Mushoo is an awesome character as well. I guess it's kinda like an adult version of muppets. Definitely not something for the children and something to watch when there's no one around to question your sanity! Comedy Central puts it out there and the child in all of us adults enjoys it. Have a stressful job? Watch Crank Yankers and it will all go away. Or maybe not, depending on why your job's stressful. Customer service workers can imagine the people they speak to and really relax. What more is there to say? I've said it all.

What Happened????
16 June 2002
Having grown up watching Scooby Doo cartoons and even recently watching the cartoon movies that have come about, I can honestly say that I was most disappointed in the finished product. I'm not a big fan of Matthew Lillard, but when casted next to Prinze and the rest of the cast, he outshines them all. The casting for this movie should've been better picked. Come on folks, these actors/actresses did not do the actual characters any justice. If not for Scooby and "Shaggy" this movie would be a total loss. Today's children will probably enjoy this one, but those of us from the "old school" will sit back and say What Happened? The only other good thing about this movie was the plot twist involving Scrappy. If you wanna see it wait for the video store to start renting it, otherwise don't waste your money.

Not Just Because of Brad Pitt
16 June 2002
I really enjoyed this movie. Not only because it was a good remake, but because the casting was well selected. Anytime you put together top notch actors like Clooney, Pitt, and Damon you can only come out with something worth watching and owning. I think the ending of this movie was well planned with just enough elusiveness that you were suprised. I would watch this movie many more times and probably will.

A Classic Comes to Life!
16 June 2002
I enjoyed this movie alot. The cast was a good one and the movie followed along with the comic books we've all been reading for years. If you're a "Spidey" fan, this is a must see. The only questionable thing in this movie is Toby Maguire as the lead. Overall though it was/is a good movie and one worth adding to any home library.

Awesome!!!
16 June 2002
If you love movies where you sit watching it and try to figure out what is going on before it climaxes this is a definate must see. I'm obviously a major Brad Pitt fan, but this movie is over the top. I've watched and re-watched it many times and each time I've seen things I failed to notice before. This makes it a good movie in and of itself. It was also refreshing not to see Pitt in the typical "pretty boy" role and the twist is as rewarding as other "now" movies like The Others, The Sixth Sense and Vanilla Sky.
