Gorillas in the Mist: The Story of Dian Fossey (1988)
Who is Max from Missouri?
First of all, let me just say that this is a wonderful film. Secondly, let me say that Max from Missouri (likely poor white trash) is a complete imbecile. Boring? Not at all. This film is touching, heart wrenching, and I feel very deeply for what Dian was fighting for. I feel, as I'm sure a lot of people feel, that animals lives are much more worthy of saving than a lot of humans. And by the way, only an idiot would think they were monkeys. They're Primates. Get it straight. Get an education.
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
AMAZING MOVIE!!!
I loved this film. I cant understand why anybody wouldnt! But let me guess, the people who didnt like it were white guys from the midwest, RIGHT? As a bi-racial person in my twenties here in Los Angeles, this film was fantastic. It was one of those films where you want to watch it after its finished all over again!!! Besides, everybody in the film is GORGEOUS. Its one of my favorite action films ever, and usually im not a fan of action, but this film was SPECTACULAR!
Gia (1998)
A Great Film
This film was great. However, a lot of people get the wrong impression of Gia (I assume it's cause they havent seen the film or havent read the book "A Thing Of Beauty:Gia Carangi"). Gia wasnt bisexual: she was homosexual.I read the biography on her life and all her friends and family said she was a pure lesbian. She was interested in only women since the age of 12, and even said sleeping with a man (which she did once) was like sleeping with a german shepard. In other words, it did nothing for her. I really really love her personality and wish she was still alive today. She was beautiful, inside and out, and seemed like she would have made a really fun friend. I miss you Gia.
Poetic Justice (1993)
So Easy To Relate To This Film
Now, honestly, if you werent born and raised in L.A. you probably wouldn't be able to relate to this. However, I was born and raised in L.A., and all of the characters speech, slang, and laid-backness reminds me so much of people I know, including myself. It especially reminds me of being a teenager in high school, and all the boy drama and fights where all we did was swear at each other. It's very easy for me to identify with, and I think as long as you're from Los Angeles, you should be able to relate to this film.
