One Night in Bangkok (2020)
Uninspired yawn of a movie
The script and dialog were quite bland, and the little action it had to offer was kinda generic and partially lame.
At some point I had to skip forward to give it one more chance before I fall asleep.
What a waste of both Marc's and Kane's talents.
The director/writer past credentials aren't great either and I guess I was curious if he can redeem himself. I was proven wrong.
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission (2018)
PSVR's Killer App!
Brilliant soundtrack!
Awesome level design!
Exciting boss fights!
Immersive and Impressive!
"Astro Bot 2? Shut up and take my money!"
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Solves the Bathroom Problem (2018)
A dud
This season of Sunny feels so far somewhat uninspired but this episode seem to hit a new low unseen through out the entire series.
It felt like a low budget effort based on a first draft of a script left in a drawer in Rob Mcelhenney's house,
Not one scene made me even smirk and the characters felt like they are spewing their lines as shadows of their former selves.
I really hope this season will pick up from now on but this episode certainly felt like they've jumped the shark.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Gets New Wheels (2018)
a C+ episode
There was not a real strong arc in this episode, just pretty mundane events happening in parallel, compared to crazy/hilarious stuff which happened in past seasons. No character really shined in this episode and no memorable scene for me.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
Total dreck
What a waste of my time and money.
I should've trusted my instincts about the trailer and clips to not to set foot in the cinema watching this crap.
Unfunny recycled jokes, lame story and kindergarden level villain.
Jumanji suppose to be exciting, emotional, funny and a little scary, but this movie failed to achieve none of it.
The screenwriters probably wrote the script in the bathroom on toilet paper and forgot to wipe with it their ass.
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are from now on my official kryptonite. Arnold S. had more charisma than both of them together.
Even Jack Black who I dig, gave a goosebumps level performance.
Robin Williams is probably turning in his grave.
Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)
Nice but never really shines...
Much like the first Ice Age movie, IA2:M reuses the same jokes we've already seen and heard in different animated movies and TV shows. "Robots" was better in that area, in my opinion.
The plot, although very efficient and to the point, fell liked it lacked something, can't really point out what. Also, I think they needed to flesh-out some characters (Sid, especially) and sophisticate the script.
The animation is very good and has a unique style to it. The Scratt sequences made me enjoyed the most - has that old looney toons humor and feel. I think Scratt deserves a TV show of animation shorts.
All in all, a good rental for the whole family, but I wish Blue Sky would try to top themselves in the next one and not go on the safe side of toon town.
6/10
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Pure cinematic joy
Pulp fiction is just a film you can watch every year and still feel like it's the first time. I don't have much in life, but with movies like this my life seems a little more worth living :) .
Tarantino's a walking legend. He really know his work and how to give the viewer enjoyment to the max. From suspense to dark comedy and most important - a closure - one thing that many filmmakers aren't able to achieve.
I really hope Tarantino will continue making movies in the current time-spacing he does now. Every project of his is like a child to him, and children aren't something one would make every year.
This is just a filler line. I just don't have or need to add about this cool, slick and entertaining piece of cinema.
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
An amusing ride with one big loop!
Cool flick. I enjoyed it very much. If i wouldn't know there is a twist to it, I'd enjoyed it even more! Notice the guest appearances by some of the actors from Rodriguez's earliest work - Desperado. I thought Rodriguez used Cheech Marin too much times for playing different characters, but it worked pretty ok at the end.
