All the Rage (2016)

Am emotional trip...
19 May 2017
I saw a screening of the movie during the BAFICI and was very moved by it. It is a documentary alright, but it has the emotional power of any other fictional movies you can see. The filmmakers put their heart out to do this film about how back pain problems can be related to childhood issues or repressed feelings or words that don't come out as it should. It is a journey around Dr. Sarno's life and Michael Galinsky's personal back pains. It is a must!

well, well, well. it seems that castro is the guy who´s financing the extasis that kills people in EEUU. bad news boys... cuba is part of the American Continent, wether you like it or not. What a bunch of bullscrap this film is. So they go and smash Cuba and the village where the most poor people lives. Amazing! Outrages. I am latin and I had it with this stupid filosophy! All the bad guys are from Cuba or Rusia or Haiti everybody is a bad influence except for those stupids "shot your gun first and show your badge later" cops. What kind of peace filosophy is this? Who directed this film? Who really directed it? I felt so bad after seen this stupid movie! Gosh! too bad I can´t use curse words for this one because that´s what this movie is all about. A spit on the 3rd world countries. SHAME ON YOU! SHAME ON YOU!

Foxtrap (1986)

Great memories for this little film
19 June 2002
Back in the 80's, this film was released in Argentina. It was really strange and as every two Friday, my father and I went to Lavalle street (it used to be the Film Theatres Street) to check some film. There was nothing to see, late shows already started and the rest of the films were rated R. Last chance... Foxtrap. There we went. My father complaining for his luck. Me... happy because we were going to the movies. The film is amazingly dumb but funny enough to delight a little kid and bring out the rage of a father. Long live films! and The Fred Williamson...

Panic Room (2002)
2/10
A film as empty as the house they are living in
1 April 2002
What? Why? Where? When? this time Fincher doesn't have a surprise ending, or hip characters. This time he has a really bad script, that as well proves that Fincher is a mediocre director.

Fancy camera angles. Superficial conflict between mother and daughter. The first 15 minutes nothing is going on, only information to the audience. Wouldn't it be better to learn about the panic room once they are in there? Instead of a long scene in which they explain everything about it and further more... there is no dramatically tension about the panic room. Is her daughter diabetic... why? only because they need a reason to be out of the room? This film has nothing to do with Mr. Hitchcock. Absolutely nothing. Hitchock made The Rope... one shot one set! This story needed that... Fincher thinks is hip and cool to move the camera around or through a key hole but... why? to show us that the house is not so safe? You can do better than that! A house is not a home. A movie is not a film. A guy who said action is not a director

all they need is love
29 March 2002
real love. true love. mad love. beautiful love. ugly love. dirty love. sad love. happy love. silly love. smart love. gorgeous love. dumb love. love love love. minnie moore understands that what she really needs is a man who trust her, trust her and love her madly. of course when this man comes along... she tries to run away but seymour, wonderful seymour, he trusts her, he believes in her so he is going to fight for her against her. i want to be like seymour moskowitz. i want to be that kind of man. a man willing to love without been afraid to fail but willing to fail. that's a kind of hero. that's my kind of hero... and minnie moore is my kind of woman. long live cassavetes and all his lovely bunch!

The curse of Don Quixote
4 March 2002
I'd seen a first draft of the film and it was already a great piece of art. Its structure was superb and it was done by passionate directors who happens to love films which is the only way to understand this film. The story of a film that is not going to be made, this happened to Orson Welles as well, he couldn't finish the film. Only a true director would allow to show his deepest obsession without calculating its results. This is a must see. And it teach us that everyone who goes madly obsessive with its own personal life-work must considered, no matter the result, a true artist!
