The script sucks, the directing is bad, and I feel sorry for the actors.
5 December 2002
At first I wanted to blame the actors for their bad acting and then I wanted to blame the director, but I believe the largest blame should go to the screenwriter. Every performance in this film (even by the extras) sucks (that's the director's fault), but the words they are attempting to utter are so bad that the problem must start with the screenwriter. Not only is the dialog bad, the plot doesn't follow any logical sense.

Don't waste any part of your life watching this movie!

Where's the editors?
15 May 2001
First of all, this movie needs editing -- at least 30 minutes should have been left on the cutting room floor. Secondly, the completely white subtitles (without any shadowing) were very hard to read in some of the scenes. Lastly, the level of blood was gratuitous.

With some good editing and better subtitles, I might give it a 6 or 7, but as it was released in the US, it only rates a 3 or 4 out of 10.

Made for Kids, but Fun for Adults
20 June 2000
Although kids are clearly targeted for Chicken Run, fans of Nick Park's "Wallace and Gromit" movies will enjoy this film too. Although predictable, I didn't care because the claymation was excellent, the characters had character and the story moved along.

Red Dwarf (1988– )
"Red Dwarf" is Good Comedy and Good Sci-fi!
16 July 1999
"Red Dwarf" is first and foremost a comedy. Every episode is extremely funny and it's funny on several different levels. But not only is it good comedy, it's good sci-fi too. No modulating the something-or-other-made-up to solve the problem at the last moment. No inconsistent time travel episodes -- "Red Dwarf" rocks on time travel episodes. Just good sci-fi. If you haven't seen it, rent a tape and watch several episodes. You might not be hooked after the first one, but you'll be hooked by the end of third one! (The books are excellent too, but I want more of them!)

Excellent pyrotechnics but not much else!
16 July 1999
Even though this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes good pyrotechnics. Its plot was terrible. Its horror wasn't really that good. Its sci-fi was even worse. But its pyrotechnics were excellent! (Mathilda May was extremely beautiful too.)
