Her Last Chance (1996 TV Movie)
10/10
Carried away by her Boyfriend's thriller lifestyle, a teenage girl slips into drug addiction. Then one day after a fight, her boyfriend is found dead.

Kellie Martin gives yet another over the top and clichéd performance as the drug addict teen. This, however is compensated for by her support cast. The average script is played wonderfully by most of the young actors and a catchy soundtrack helps make this movie memorable. Brandis steals the show as the lovable bad-guy who meets an untimely end and the last minute twist is interesting to say the least.

Tis true. The show was the best on the planet.. and not only because of the babe rating of the scantily clad crew. The plot lines were completely different from season to season so no matter who you are, there was always something you would like. Season one was scientific and appealed to the inquiring mind. Season 2 was comical and spoof-like appealing to anyone with a humorous bone in their body and season 3 dealt with war and the darker side of the politics of the future. I miss the show and I know I'm not alone.

Bit of a Homage

Being produced by Mr. Norris, it naturally turns out to be a bit of a Chuck homage, but with a young and handsome Jonathan Brandis as his Kung Fu kicking Sidekick, all is forgiven. HIII YAA!!

Drag Princess

Another attempt for Rodney to get his career into gear "drags" fifteen year old Jonathan Brandis into disguise as a girl. And damn if it isn't upsetting when a boy looks better in a dress than you do. Harmless fun with a few naughty jokes mixed in for good measure. The footballing scenes are pitiful for any Brit, but I'm sure Americans thought them works of art <g>

The Horror That King gave up on
22 November 1998
Watching the first half of this movie, you will be impressed, intrigued and scared out of your mind. When the second half rolls round, the climax you had hoped for sputters away into a childish easy-fix. You will be impressed by the kids in this movie. For a bunch of ten year olds, they shine, completely outacting their adult counterparts. The script isn't half bad either. Pennywise will haunt you as he terrorises the helpless kids of the small US town and you feel for those involved. Then when part two shows itself, you can't but help remember your school days, when on a late night with homework due, you bluff and rush your way through your endings. The second half is a let down and the feeling is of betrayal after the earlier promises of greatness. Just another one to add to Mr. King's long line of half-classics.
