Hits harder when you come back to it!

After watching season 2 and Mugen train i must say.. this episode got better. Now that you have seen the journey, the events in this episode just gets more emotional. It was dark on first watch too, but not quite as emotional.

The episode also has everything this show does best: Great animation and action. Overall a great pilot that sets up the premise and leaves you wanting more!

The anime has its own identity

The beginning is good, the premise does not escape from traditional shounen, but this anime has its own identity, a very good animation and an excellent soundtrack.

8,6/10.

One of The Best Anime of 2019

This series has great potential to be a very good show.,It is edgey unlike most popular anime at the time. I also like how you can easily figure out which each character's motives are In a fight which most animes fail to achieve.

Overall, this show is now one of my favorite new series and I will continue to watch this show weekly until it ends.

Man it starts off strong. Already thrusts you into the concept effortlessly and God does it get dark really quick.

Early review

I know its just 1 episode so far,and I am not one to usually give 10 stars(especially on animes since I don't watch this category that often),but this anime will be my second favorite anime of 2019 , Dororo being first. This one looks quite similar to Dororo in my opinion but with Tokyo Ghoul elements into it,making it just as bloody as the ones I mentioned. I'm usually never wrong when it comes to tv shows,so I hope I do some justice to anime fans aswell. You can jump into Kimetsu no Yaiba straight away because this one will be a power title this year.

An absolutely great first episode, that is extremely heartbreaking at some points, typically I'm very picky about liking an anime protagonist or not,and so far I absolutely love tanjiro's character,he actually cares about others above himself, and most anime protagonists aren't like that,he is and I love it,the animation is pretty awesome as well,I'm excited to see were this goes

Great start to a Great anime

Warning: Spoilers
It started off strong with Tanjiro selling charcoal. Then it goes to him finding his family slaughtered. The only person in his family who remained was his little sister Nezuko. The twist is that she became a demon and soon tried to harm Tanjiro before convincing her not to. After that. A hashira, (One of the most skilled demon slayer), tries to slay Nezuko but soon realizes she isn't a threat and decides to spare her. Tanjiro is soon on his way to become a demon slayer after being referenced by Giyu, the Hashira This is overall a really great episode that has you on your heels the whole time. This is why I gave it a 10/10.

Make up your mind man!

Warning: Spoilers
So I watched the first episode because a friend of mine recomended it to me. Everything was flawless and seemed like a great anime. The music was superb the animation was one of the best I've ever seen. So what went wrong?

So, you can't just have a character wanting to do something (in this case the girl eat the boy somewhere in the middle of the episode) and then make a "the last jedi" 180° turn next scene because the samurai somewhat threatened his brother. It just doesn't make any sense at all. There are no rules that say she can fight against her instinct of killing people because the show hasn't progressed yet so much to establish those kind of rules... so why does the girl in one scene want to kill her brother and 10 minutes later wants to protect him?

HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

I will continue to watch this anime because it really has a lot of potential but at the next time this show does such a twist without any logic or defying anything it builded before I'll stop watching it. 7/10
