Way to denigrate the Black American culture

It's a cultural pity they made the 17 year old daughter pregnant as she grew up without her father. Why not have her accepted to NYU and pursue law? That would be the 2020 version of believable motivation for the Aaron Wallace character. Add-in forbidden love of an oxy addicted underage rich blond and her other side of the tracks railroaded Mexican boyfriend. Combine that with old white dudes clinging to power no matter what, and a corrupt system stacked against the little guy. Can't forget the requisite lesbian couple. Sadly, nothing original here, just parts and pieces of everything else with the hope we choose to tie it all together long enough to keep watching.
