Absolutely Phenomenal

Just brilliant writing, some of the best I've ever seen. So creative on so many levels, so original and unique. The whole entire acid part of the episode was one of the best segments of television I've ever seen. This was a ballsy move by the writers to pull this off, and they did it to absolute perfection. Just a work of art.
what an episode👏🏽👏🏽

A very good episode overall. As it keeps you confused just like joe trying to make sense of anything , afraid that he might go and kill her like old joe and in the same time if he doesn't kill her he might get there too late.
watched when it first came out

You Season 2 Episode 8
Review : Reviewing this episode, I will say that the beginning of this episode is a bit slow and boring. But the end is remarkable. The mystery of the last scene has been created, the real interest has been created, the real thrill has been created. All in all a fairly good episode. The rest of the things I discussed below about this episode.
Acting : All the actors and actresses have performed well enough.
Direction : The director has done a very good directing.
Story and Dialogue : Speaking of the story of this episode, it has to be said that the story of this episode is really good enough. The storytellers wrote the story of the episode with enough intelligence. The story of this episode is a bit slow at the beginning, but quite interesting and thrilling towards the end. This episode has been observed to use good enough dialogue
Soundtrack and Background score : No soundtrack was used in this episode. And a fairly good background score has been used in this episode.
Cinematography and Editing : The cinematography and edited levels are good enough and balanced.
Other Departments : Lighting, vfx, makeup, location, set, sound designing and recording are all good enough.
Overall Episode : Judging by all, I gave this episode nine out of ten stars.
Thanks so much for reading my review.

I liked the pacing of the whole 2nd season very much! So much better then S1..!
But against all odds Forty suddenly "decides" to kind off kidnap Joe at the exact time where Joe sets a timer for her friends shackles? Ok that was some artificial sloppy tension building here
Only one word in my mind, Phenomenal!!!

I just finnished season two of this masterpice and i am still completely blown away by episode 8. In my head this epidode has like 1 million small plot twists. Starting with this guys kidnapping joe and fourty then following with thzt he planned it. When they are in this bar and he gets his drink and later we find out that fourty mixxed LSD in his drink and in the end that delilah is dead. I also think that its very well done how his trip shows us how scared he is of his "bad" self and how hard he wants to suppress it. Also the scenes that with love and her mother showed that even if they both seemingly hate eachother still love and care for eachother deep down in theire heart. Overall this episode is brilliant and it seems like every minute detail is well thought through. (Of course im just someone that enjoys tv shows and not a professional reviewer )
one of the strongest episodes of season 2

So far the effects, storyline of this episode were FANTASTIC!
I'm enjoy the series for the first time and so far season 2 has been ok.
I find my attention wondering alot this season but this episode was fantastic, just that simple.
I guess the illusion effects that started mid episode and the coming and going of numerous characters made it feel exactly like the classic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Not a perfect 10/10 only do to the slow beginning but of course you had to build up to something.... the ending Definitely did NOT see coming. Would've been alittle more mind blown if Forty did discover somehow Joe did in fact kill Beck.

Warning: Spoilers
Drugging Joe and having him hallucinate and not know what's real and what's going on is lazy writing and having Delilah dead, means no decisions had to be made and there's no self analysis. It's a complete waste of the build up. Forty also has way too much scene time.
Filler till the Finale
gabriellefloate1 August 2021
The episode seemed odd and irrelevant while also offering some insight into Joe's mind. We see new perspectives through the acid trip with Forty, but overall the episode lent itself to be filler to stall for the finale. This episode also made Forty less likable and the whole time I was thinking can we get back to the Delilah problem now instead of having to sift through a pointless day of tripping.
Horrible episode
kennywingbro30 December 2019
Unrealistic to the edge where i just turned off the tv, what a truly bad written episode. they took away all the true mystics and realistic happenings. and made what? did a kid write this script? can not believe they made something so good this bad.. disappointed
Lost
esso-547999 May 2020
Maybe it's just me but it seems like the writers have run out of plot and the directors out of ideas and are just trying to streach the series to 10 episodes but lost me at the same time along the way.
Maybe I was drugged along with Joe.
