Going into this show I knew very little about Ted Bundy, just that he was a serial killer who preyed on women. The first episode give a little bit of information and really shows how deceptive and normal his public persona was. The end picked up and gave some direction to the show, which seemed to have no direction after a while. As with most true crime shows, this I suspect will be a slow moving one with just enough new information each episode to keep you watching.

It's informative, and interesting.

Like another reviewer, I knew very little about Yes Bundy, just that he was predatory with young women.
This gives us a background of the infamous killer, and unlike other serial killers, he's smart, sophisticated, and in terms of his place in society, he's higher up the food chain than most.
Supposedly handsome and charming, I see an eloquent speaker, I don't get the handsome tag if I'm honest.
I knew very little of his crimes, this explains how be was able to get away with things for so long, and he clearly knew how to dodge the law.
Intriguing start. 8/10.

The usual Netflix quality production but a tricky subject

I have mixed feelings on the first instalment of "The Ted Bundy Tapes".
Firstly, I have to confess, I'm not really a fan of "true crime" series (notable exceptions being "Making a Murderer" and "The Jinx"). With this documentary series effectively revisiting the Ted Bundy abductions and killings, there's an air of morbid sensationalism around the piece.
The first episode follows a similar pattern to "The Jinx". We're only really given any insight into Bundy's warped psychology in the last few minutes.
This show is as far from "feel good" television as possible. Will I watch further episodes? At this stage, I'm undecided. I'm not sure there's anything other than pure geek show exploitation on display.
Whilst I normally trust Netflix, I'm left wondering if the whole Bundy horror show warrants an entire gruesome series dedicated to it.
