A penultimate episode that really delivers. A solid story line that finally weaves the loose threads of the prior episodes. A better executed fight scene in the beginning and a dramatic plot twist at the end. Let's see how the finale delivers especially with that last moments leaving us with sky-high anticipation.

While heading to Sangju to look for Lord Hyun, Prince Chang and his group stop in a village where people is eating lots of meat. But soon Cho Beom-pal recognizes the clothes from the stranded boat and Prince Chang and Moo Young ask where the corpses are. However, the villagers believe they will be beheaded by the prince and take them to a bamboo grove where they try to kill the prince and his group. Out of the blue, they are attacked by zombies, but Lord Hyun and his warriors arrive and save the group. They head to his palace to rest but Seo Bi notes something strange and comments with Moo Young. Meanwhile Cho Hak Joo conducts bizarre experiments with the prisoners.
The fifth episode of "Kingdom" shows the intention of Cho Hak Joo to conquer the throne. This episode seems to be a sort of "The Walking Dead" blended with "Game of Thrones" and is interesting. My vote is eight.

Finally.

This episode connected many storylines into one. Some main characters got some backstory. The main characters part is a bit boring because of the lack of plot development. It should progress more, I expected it. While the last 5 mins we finally made some big changes to the story.
Best episode so far.

The fifth episode of Kingdom finally brought many plot points together and connected everything to one storyline.
It started with arguably the best action piece of the show so far, about 10 minutes of zombie with machete killing action. This was very well choreographed, had some real sense of danger and was also well shot.
I found, like in prior episodes, some of the acting to be a bit weird, but it didn't take me out. The last 5 minutes of the episode also promise well things for the finale as we finally saw some big changes being made.
Looking forward to episode 6.
