This is the type of show we'll go back and look on as Wrestling fans and think about how lucky we were. Matt Riddle's added strength to his character.
A solid showing from Shayna and Kairi once again.
But it was the next 3 matches that had me in shock.
Gargano vs Black is exceptional and shows "Johnny Wrestling" may be the best in the world
Velveteen Dream vs Tomasso Ciampa for the NXT Title is (pun intended) a Dream. Another amazing performance by these two.
Your main event sees the Undisputed Era vs Pete Dunne, Ricochett and the War Raiders. Not a big fan of the War Raiders and they very quickly changed my opinion of them. It's a car crash with plenty of story and what we got was another classic.
These 3 matches are probably all 5 star classics and I recommend this show highly if someone wants to see great solid technical wrestling!

WarGame 2

Warning: Spoilers
There is no need for WarGames to be an annual event, but what can you do.
I am fine with the company pushing Matt Riddle even if I wish they chose Kassius Ohno instead, but burying him that way was ridiculous.
Velveteen in a title match is also ridiculous, but for some reason the NXT Universe has embraced him.
War Games takes too long to get started and the Undisputed Era throwing away the key made no sense since you can't win if Pete Dunne doesn't enter.
Flawed booking even if the card as a whole ended up being okay. Matches were all too long though, outside of the obvious squash.

Takeover War Games II once again proved that NXT is one of, IF NOT the best place to watch pure, entertaining and thrilling wrestling! From the likes of Matt Riddle making a quick debut in fine fashion, to the ruthless aggression within the War Games structure, Takeover War Games II can be considered within the top 2 for PPV's this year, if not the past DECADE!
