Harking back to his old school Big-Budget successes of old like "French Connexion", Marc Dorcel's production "Undercover" is a quite successul marriage of elements including crime caper, luxury locations and top-notch female cast having sex with Euro studs.
Lovely American import Megan Rain is the leading lady, dangerously balancing her main squeeze the Spanish gangster Vasquez (Emilio Ardana) with French boyfriend on the side Joey (Ricky Mancini). In the film proper Vasquez is called her husband, while in the inevitable (but useful) "Making of" featurette she refers to him as her boyfriend confusingly.
Title role, the female infiltrator into the gang (hence "L'infiltree" French moniker for the show) is played by that wonderful Dorcel discovery Mina Sauvage. Megan speaks her dialog in direct-sound English, while most of the rest of the cast speak French (or keep their traps shut, hailing from Spain and other climes).
Two directors are credited, with Dorcel's regular helmer Herve Bodilis delivering one of his best jobs, and his crew member Ludovic Dekan sharing the honors. The plot twists are fine, great femme cast most alluring, and even a well-staged orgy scene (right out of the kink playbook with cast wearing masks and led by the divine Ania Kinski) is thrown in.
I especially liked the old-school approach of concise sex scenes (nine in total and brought in at under 2 hours) rather than the elongated stand-alone 4 or 5 vignettes of most recent videos including Dorcel's. Location photography is very well-done, including several drone-mounted aerial shots worthy of a mainstream big-budgeter.
