Warning: Spoilers
As the film starts, it reminded me of the beginning credits of #ManiRatnam's #OKKanmani! The creative team done a great job with the enlightening composition of Shameshan Mani Maran. All the characters in the film were given equal importance to the script and it's special to one another. Firstly, the mainlead Saresh D'seven(Velan), a young talented man who has big dreams but went on blindly listening to the woman he thought to be and was pushed to the wrong path which made him miserable! Saresh performed wonderfully and suited for that innocent look. Kuben Mahadevan(Bharatiraja), as an supporting character to Velan, and puts all his efforts to bring Velan to the right path in his life. Kuben was one of the show stealer in the film, who brought a laugh riot within the audience, no matter after a serious scene or an emotional scene. He done justice to the comedic element in the film. Moving on, what I call 'the charm of the film' Subbulakshmi played by Punitah Shanmugam! Her beautiful character came unexpectedly and made a spark to Velan's life! She was the main show stealer in the film and made the audience at breeze in the entire film! Bhagya Arivuckarasu as Lakshmi performed brilliantly with her partial negative shades! Her expressions and body language as a controlling partner were impressive! Karnan G Crak Asuranz was a rather small but important character to the film and act as strength to Lakshmi. Hats off to the entire team for an outstanding performance and kudos the person who crafted them, the captain of the ship Karthik Shamalan! I can see the amount of effort he put in writing as well as leading the crew as the director. I deeply feel that this is just the beginning and there's lots more to come from Karthik's creativity. The cinematographer too deserved a pat on the back during the raining scenes and the angles he used. Special mentioned on the aerial shots during the football matches, superb! Really made me glued to the screen. Music score was the soul of the film, at each emotion, mood of the scene! The score syncs in to the scene gracefully from beginning till the end. Another hero from techical crew was the editor! Well edited throughout! An amazing crew with talented performers can only a produce a masterpiece! #SughaimaaiSubbulakshmi will be remembered for years to come as a breakthrough in Malaysian Tamil Cinema. Like as our new government was established, our Film Industry too has a changed and hope that this types of films will do wonders in the box office as what it's deserved due to the utmost hatdwork of the team! Overall, #SSL is an entertaining emotional inspirational ride of a young man and how the people in his life influenced him while on the path to achieving his dream! Verdict: A must watch for its well written screenplay and dialogues, performance of the cast and technical brilliance that delivers a decent message to the audience!
