NEW BREED is an appalling little indie horror film made by what looks like a group of friends. The obvious inspiration here is BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, because one guy looks exactly like Spike and there's a general teenage feel to the cast and proceedings. It's a plotless affair, about a guy who visits a gothic club and who is subsequently transformed into a vampire, but it's laughable indeed, with characters lounging around on sofas and merely engaging in day-to-day activity. This is nothing more than a movie shot on a cheap video camera by a bunch of mates on a bored afternoon.
