The writing this season!

While this was a solid episode, it still had stupid character decisions. I've always like the writing of this show and thought it was brilliant especially season 4 and thought it was mind blowing. But season 6 continues with characters making dumb decisions (i.e YoYo watching a Shrike going into agent Keller's mouth and doing nothing) and I don't know why they couldn't find another way to do it. So they're going after two person with Shrike in them that are moving toward each other, arrest and contain them AND then put them near each other in the module? Where is the logic in that? Also YoYo telling an agent to shoot them with a pistol even tho she have already seen what the Shrike can do is laughable and illogical.

Still a good show, but it would be even better if they returned to the directly connected story lines with the MCU movies, like the first seasons did. But seriously, you spotted those creatures heading for each other to a corporate meeting and your best play is to capture them and bring them together?! And no one including Quake who literally just came from there thinks to take those things in space?! Yep FitzSimmons are definitely not there! Would have loved to see a Coulson/Sarge Mexican standoff, but it would change the entire plot."Goodbyes suck" indeed😢

Sarge may be even cooler than Coulson..don't judge me!

We finally get a good look at what Sarge's dynamic with the team looks like and it is glorious to watch, he is just so cool and in control of the situation! I mean..how can he not be when there may or may not be fire breathing dragons on his team? The special effects on this episode were amazing, there is yet another terrifying sequence with the shrike that was quite well made. I'm finding the shrikes to be an interesting foe, horror like and very ominous! I liked the space adventure, it was a nice reprieve after last week's heavy character study, though I felt the episode suffered a little balancing the space and earth stuff, hopefully this issue will be resolved when the team reunites.

It is not just that this setting is so tiring right now, but the newer characters introduced the last few seasons just aren't working.

Nothing felt noteworthy about this episode.

Boring.
