So episode 12 of Citrus. I loved the ending, but at the same time, it felt a little underwhelming. Well that should make sense since the manga is still ongoing. There were several things that I loved about the episode such as Sara breaking up with Mei, and giving Yuzu the chance of confessing, and the kiss that Yuzu had with Mei was also great. Really, Mei was actually kind of cute in this episode. Her nervously fidgeting with her hair when Yuzu asked to kiss her is simply adorable. They played that scene from the manga very well.
For the arc as a whole, I didn't like that the final three arcs were going to be Sara-centric because I really had issues with the arc such as Mei's development seemingly reverting back to the beginning of her being a cold "b word," but I do understand that she was like that because she has a weak heart and was afraid of being rejected. So it is good that Mei is trying to be more direct with Yuzu, beginning with holding her hand. Really, I just thought this arc was bad because it was really playing up pointless drama just to lengthen the plot, but at the end, I feel that it wraps up some things.
Though this hurts in hindsight considering the thirty-sixth chapter. Here's hoping for a second season.
