Jodi West is effective in many lesbian roles in mainstream Adult releases (see: Girlfriends films for example) but lately she and lesser half Jay West have created a cottage industry of amateurish porn for their Forbidden Fruits Films label. This 5th edition of a series about a book club is mysterious in that its premise is so weak and unrealized.
Essentially these women, Jodi inveitably casting herself among them, get together on the pretense of discussing a book they're reading but actually to have Sapphic sex. That's the whole ball of wax, with the economical cast of five actresses humping each other in pairs through four scenes.
With her French accent, dark tresses and big boobs, Angie Noir stands out from the crowd of blondes but nothing interesting happens. Improvised dialog has a hint of potential conflict in the way Jodi, as leader of the group, lies to the mother and daughter team of Amber Lynn Bach and Caly Calypso about which of them is a troublemaker that sort of threatened dissolution of the group, but that is papered over and ultimately irrelevant.
Watching Amber, now older and almost a plumper, was the reason for my sampling this DVD, as I was a big fan of hers a decade back at her career peak. She has little to do other than service our auteur Jodi.
In sum, nothing ventured, nothing gained applies to the complete lack of creativity or inspiration displayed here by the Wests.
