Mindblowing
Tdot-Mutant27 November 2018
They somehow managed to bring the show back to its once former greatness with tonight's episode. I felt like I was watching a different show, Arrow on steroids. It was a dream come true to see the showrunners adapt their own version of Supermax on the small screen. Well done Arrow team, well done. *stands and slow claps*

Best episode ever of Arrow?
joubir-3299327 November 2018
Thrilling from start to finish, doesn't even feel like a CW show. All hail Beth Schwartz for redeeming this show, It seems like Arrow didn't peak early after all as S7 has potential to be the best season yet of this show.

Probably the best episode on Arrow EVER
denizdilay27 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I've never seen so much action and so many fight scenes in one episode. There was nothing, but good fights and scenes in prison. I was waiting for an episode where it's really only about Oliver and Ricardo Diaz and we finally got it. Also that Turner teamed up with the Green Arrow and Stanley turning out as a bad guy was so amazing and breathtaking. *stands up and claps* I just loved the fight scenes between Oliver and all his enemies but the fact that he did not have to do this alone, but Turner was with him was surprisingly amazing. Excellent work! Good work Arrow writers and you definitely did not promised too much as you said you reach limits this season. Season 7 is definitely the best season, with episodes full of fight and action but still so many plot twist. I personally think that this episode topped everything I love about Arrow and I can't wait for more. Applause for the people that made this episode come true and to the fans that made it possible that we have a seventh season.

One of the best episodes to date
Holt34427 November 2018
This episode was one of the best thanks to the great choreography, there were a lot of fight scenes and good ones at that. Focusing only on Oliver in the prison was something I've been looking for and it sure did pay out, we got a great fight with one of Arrow's best villains, Diaz. Personally he's one of the best and seeing him in half of S6 and 7 have been some great television.

I can't help to wonder what the showrunner of the show has in store for us, hopefully as good story arc like this one was!

That was the best Arrow Episode ever. The hype was real after all for this episode. Diaz got intense. Oliver and Turner teaming up was the great part of the episode. Kudos to James Bamford for directing an Epic Episode.

This episode is one of the best episodes in TV's history.

Thrilling action sequences.

Traditional but awesome hero-villain's intentions.

This episode deserves to be TV-MA

Shawshank: Arrow
highmarksreviews27 November 2018
In terms of consistency, season seven might just be the most consistent of Arrow since its second and fifth instalments and while I have been enjoying this season a lot, I haven't had that 'wow' episode just yet. Enter "The Slabside Redemption", a chapter that isn't just a season best, but could be a series best. This was, in all honesty the most action-packed and brutal the show has ever been, with the writers and show runner turning stunt coordinator James Bamford loose inside Slabside, allowing for some satisfyingly gruelling showdowns. Everyone was on their A-game this week. From the prison's environment, to the guards, to Stephen Amell and Kirk Acevedo brilliantly bringing their conflict to a fitting end, there was even the pleasant inclusion of Michael Jai White's Turner, who was also given plenty of time to shine. Farewells were said to quite a few characters as old ones reunited in an Arrow episode for the ages, as "The Slabside Redemption" brought Oliver Queen's prison ordeal to a bloody, emotional and amazing conclusion.

It's About Time
ThomasDrufke1 December 2018
As harsh as I've been on this show the past season and a half, I'm not going to deny that this episode was good, it was, for the most part. But it's far from memorable. Actually, instead of its quality or lack thereof, it will be remembered for the episode that FINALLY put Diaz behind bars and introduced an even more ridiculously silly villain, with Stanley.

I appreciated the focus of this episode, with them cutting out the Star City characters almost entirely and giving Oliver and Diaz one last "showdown" together, even if it ultimately wasn't a memorable one. Plus, what really was the point of the drugs/steroids that Diaz took a few episodes back? That storyline went absolutely nowhere. But admittedly, the action was very good and Bamford was on top of his game once again. It's fun, that's undeniable. But I think where the episode falls apart is in relation to Stanley and how problematic it is that the show went from one bad villain to another. Perhaps they will find a way to develop him to a point where I care about his dynamic with Oliver more than I did with Diaz. They won't, but perhaps.

The homages to Shawshank were certainly there and I had fun watching 70% of the episode, which can't be said for most of this season, but it got me worried for the back half of this season.

Worse Writting Ever
robin_williams081 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show I have from the very beginning. I hate this story line but hey it's The Green freaking Arrow but this episode was so very bad it made my head hurt. It had so many holes Swiss cheese is jealous. How can you people give it 10 stars. Take for instance... How did Diaz get to the prison? How did he get away from the FBI? He just magically appears and somehow he manages to take the whole prison? Really??!!! Then he pulls two cables loose and some how sets fire to concrete???? Again Really???!!!!! Ollie locks him in a cell and walks away without making sure he is dead??? What kind of idiot would do that after all he has said and done and after he managed to ummm just take the entire freaking prison... again I say REALLY???!!!!. Then we end the show with Diggle and Felicity as Ollie walks out. Ollie and Felicity kiss, pull back to a wide shot and suddenly John is gone. What???? This episode was just one bad writing error or directing error after another. Oh and don't get me started on the vein strike to the leg that somehow magically heals with a piece of cloth tied around it. If I were a writer on this show I'd be ashamed.

Probably the best Arrow episode ever
djsemidream28 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, this was truly unreal! Not sure where to start... Epic, non-stop action throughout the whole episode, not the tiniest bit of unnecessary drama (CW Style), great music.....And finally, a glimpse of Michael Jai White's amazing action capabilities, hopefully we will see more of him as the season progresses. The only little flaw IMO was that the fight at the end wasn't longer and a bit more realistic. This is the essence of where the superhero TV shows should go.

Warning: Spoilers
They got everything right in this episode. No prep talk, no usual team drama. one of the best action packed show till date.Diaz was at his absolute best, Oliver was at his absolute best too,, stanley's dark side (pay attention to him), Turner's redemption, and that final fight in cell no 4587. Everything was just so perfect. Laurel's character also getting more sympathy from viewers now.and Felicity is turning slowly towards the dark side. Sit tight, this could be the best season till date.

A thank you letter
amanollahia27 November 2018
This is my first time writing a review, so you should know this one was important to me that i am writing my first review for. although it is better if you look at this as a thank you letter to everyone who had a part in making Arrowverse and specially this episode. it was without a doubt one of best episodes not just in this tv series but even in this category and genre. it has few negative points too, right, but it was so great and amazing that you must feel guilty with thinking about them. it maybe was the best point for finishing some story arcs and characters and i hope they don't continue them anymore cause then it can ruin everything. if i want to summary this episode I must tell it was more like an action game, Oliver had one main objective but for reaching that objective he had to pass some side missions and like most of good games after them he has some conversations about that and continue to hunt his main goal. everything in this episode was on point but if you look at it with more interest you can easily understand that everything from previous episodes that were related to oliver, diaz and prison were on point and almost everything happened with purpose. all people who had a part in making this episode, thank you so much, you did an amazing job, please continue to amaze us until the end of this show so we can be always this much grateful for your hard work. i was growing a bad habit to watch shows while i am playing with my phone but this episode was soooo good that i locked my phone the whole time and didn't even checked time once, all of my attention was toward it and enjoy all the time i spent watching it.

Best episode of the series! James Bamford surprises yet again!
RahulM00729 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This episode perfectly sums up what Arrow should be: action packed, brutal, intense with magnificent acting, amazing fight choreography and great drama. In many ways this was my favourite episode of the series to date. It had only one storyline and no B-Plot. I had a objective view of the whole prison storyline and enjoyed every last bit of it. It was quite unexpected for the prison storyline to be dragged on for seven straight episodes. I thought that the storyline would only be a theme for 4-5 episodes, but I was so wrong. The season 6 cliffhanger was the best of the series and did not get resolved in one episode; such as the season 5 cliffhanger and The Flash's season 2 cliffhanger where Barry Allen created Flashpoint.

There were numerous amazing acting performances from actors, specifically the lead actor Stephen Amell and this and last season's main antagonist Ricardo Diaz played by Kirk Acevedo. The fight scene between Oliver Queen and Ricardo Diaz was bloody insane. Ricardo Diaz aka The Dragon may be Oliver Queen's greatest adversary yet. He is the only character to be the main villain for two seasons. The ending where Oliver beat Diaz senselessly in his prison cell was a exceptional scene. The episode foreshadows what is going to happen in future episodes now that Ricardo Diaz is in prison and Oliver Queen is a free man. I wonder how long Diaz will stay in prison for. I speculate that his time at Slabside will be limited. The Longbow Hunters are on the loose and may very well break Diaz out of prison.

This episode concludes every prison related storyline perfectly. It redeemed Ben Turner aka Bronze Tiger and made Stanley aka The Slayer a possible villain of the week. To be completely honest I thought that Stanley was an innocent man who was framed and convicted of a homicide or multiple homicides. Let's see what he will do with his newfound freedom as in this episode he escaped Slabside through the morgue. Him killing Danny Brickwell perfectly sets him up as a future villain of the show. Both Danny Brickwell and Derek Sampson died in this episode. This episode ended their story arc in a fitting way.

The last scene where Oliver gets released from prison and sees Felicity was a perfect ending. It was the happiest moment of the couple since last season. The couple did not have a moment where they were both filled with happiness since their wedding day.

To conclude, this was my favourite episode of the entire series so far and cannot wait to find out what Oliver Queen will do with his newfound freedom and how prison changed him completely. I praise the director and fight choreographer James Bamford for making this episode memorable and unique. This episode truly deserves an award for its amazing stunts.

I love the slabside Team Up You would never Expect
FLYINGGADGET201427 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I love how guards always under estimate Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow... I honestly thought he would kill a lot of the inmates who attack him. But a Brutal Beat down was best all the same.... I also like how they scaled steps like an elevator.... this was a pretty action packed episode that I Loved. And I still can't seem to find when the actor Stephen Amell got kicked in the family jewels.... He's a really good actor, although his character is in really bad pain, by the end of this episode witch really conceals the fact he got kicked.

Hats off for this !
orosandenis28 November 2018
Honestly, I don't know if this episode is the best episode of the entire series, but it really deserves 10 stars rating. So much action in this episode, good acting, very good writing, all those scenes took place in the Slabside prison. Stanley's evil side was discovered, and I'm thinking that he will have some impact in the later episodes of this season. The fighting scenes were awesome, Diaz was great in this episode. This show is growing up slowly, and this season could become the best. I loved this episode, and i watched every single second because it was too interesting. I couldn't predict what will happen next. Hats off and awesome work!
