Light-hearted road movie by David Stanley
lor_10 October 2017
This early David Stanley feature for Vivid Video is a sequel to "Highway 1", and starts with a well-edited recap montage that makes watching the first film (hard to find two decades after) superfluous.

It stars the future husband & wife team of Dascha and Dillon Day, as a couple of QT styled criminals on the run (see: Tony Scott's "True Romance"). Key element has them stealing a Winnebago with the passengers (Devin Wolf and Serenity) still in it, with the youngsters tagging along (and humping) while the stars keep committing crimes.

Stanley has an excellent cast to work with here and unusually credits all the NonSex bit players along the way. A flashy studio-shot sequence has the camera moving past an invisible wall to show two simultaneous sex scenes taking place in adjacent motel rooms, a device that injects busty Salena Del Ray and Evan Stone into the XXX content in a manner I associate with Jerry Lewis's 1960s innovations regarding multiple sets (may he RIP).

While Stanley has fun with the show, the violent shoot-outs are very poorly staged, giving this minor feature a truly throwaway aspect. It ends with a set-up hinting at a third volume in the series, but wiser hands at Vivid evidently thought otherwise. I'm satisfied with watching merely half a loaf anyway.
