Pretty good.
arishsankar17 November 2018
I like this new show, and the new take on these characters, and DC proves that they can do dark and gritty, they don't have to be kid-friendly and funny necessarily like the cartoons. Originally I hated the costumes of Starfire and Raven, but as I kept watching this show, so far up to episode 6, I loved these two characters, their extraordinary acting is what won me over. For some reason the absence of Cyborg seemed to make it work.

Where's a clown with a crowbar when you need him?

Great take on Jason Todd.

Wonderfully obnoxious. Especially his bald faced lies to Grayson about Batman letting him drive the Batmobile. Truly great braggadocio. As if that ever happened! That fact that Dick falls for it is delicious.

All this serves to create a epic portrayal of Jason Todd. One who is mouthy and so utterly full of himself. Not so far removed from the street punk he was when he crossed paths with the Batman.

All we see makes one almost think his future final run in with the Joker might have mitigating circumstances. Dare I say, it makes one sympathize with the clown price of crime's decision to shut the little punk up permanently. Poor Joker just wanted some quiet.

The juxtaposition with the staid Dick Grayson works so well. This is obviously an episode that moves Grayson a step closer to becoming Nightwing. To finally become his own man separate from Batman.

Two Robins Are Better Than One
Kolorgasm20 November 2018
I love love love this episode. I absolutely enjoyed the introduction of Jason Todd this season. He looks like a fun kid, happy-go-lucky and charming but you can also tell he's a little unhinged. The action scene was very impressive and so cinematic. I am also very happy to see Kory (Starfire) wear a different outfit and I love that she kept that fur coat, looks great on her, makes her looks fabulously dangerous.

That flashback scene when Robin was looking at a set of monitors watching news about the Marconis and we see a slight view of the batmobile, wow, that shot was amazing!

Hopefully they keep this momentum and serve us more badassery. Only 4 more episodes left!

Super Heroes Done Right for a Change!
skip-9875618 November 2018
A Super episode thats as gritty and hardcore as it gets! I love the rawness and pull no punches attitude in the writing and in the dialogue...No watered down "CW" type back and forth here! Even in the movies for super heroes ,they dont give them the freedom to speak "flamboyantly" as they do in this series, thats something missing, and thats what makes these episodes so hard hitting and edgy...People Do talk like that under stress and this show captures that...The fight scenes with both Robins were insane in this episode..Especially jason todds, robin fight scene with the cops..freakin awesome...this show has some fantastic fight choerograhy goin on that puts other shows like Arrow to shame... A powerhouse of a tv series!!!

Contrasting robins
muamba_eats_toast7 March 2019
Love the contrast in the two robins. The fight scenes are going from strength to strength simply phenomenal. The script in between and story just feels a little basic as of yet though.

Jason Todd is a BadA$$

Warning: Spoilers
Love the gritty realistic (as close as you can get from a comic book adventure) version of Jason Todd. I mean the fans voted to kill him off and the the Red Hood character.... I'm just saying I'm not disappointed. 10 out of 10 for me...

Who says DC can't handle superheroes?
asb_deutsch4 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Every Marvel fan must be spitting on BvS but they should remember that directors are humans and Synder is no exception. No need to be light and funny. DC can still use the darkness.

First things first: The Robins are back...and this time we have them as Good Robin, Bad Robin! We get a lot of more references of Batman and also the Bat-mobile. Jason Todd was a nice addition to this TV series. And ending the episode with the trailer was pretty good. Nice to see all getting into the act. My Score: 7.5/10 Season 1: 45.5/6= 7.58

Hold you PLEASE take the spoiler off the episode screen cap?
thedazedbandman18 November 2019
I actually read the comics, and can be pretty sure who the character in the episode screen capture is. If I had thought about it while watching (I'm a bit over halfway into the episode), I would have thought of the episode's "killer." Despite that, though, I'm sure that even non-comic-reading fans would appreciate NOT having a spoiler in the picture. Maybe a picture of the character the episode is TITLED after. Other than that though, GREAT episode and I like this version (the only one outside of the comic books so far) of Jason Todd. Hopefully the creators are proud of this too.

This much violence?? Seriously??
andrewjerome18 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This show has so much potential but seriously, do we really need this much gore and violence? Hey I get the fact that there's always going to be punch ups in any superhero show but this episode seemed way excessive. Maybe the writers should concentrate more on story telling, and less blood splattering to entertain the audience

Wasted Potential
jablack-4214113 April 2021
The episode that showed me this show had true potential, don't get me wrong I enjoyed the Doom Patrol episode but I chalked that up to Geoff John's writing. The episode before this was decent as well(not great and I would be hard pressed to even call it good), but moments from Episodes 1-3 were genuinely bad, I was very very concerned and the quality of the show felt very off. But when this episode rolled along I was incredibly surprised by how good it was. So first off I want to talk about Curran Walter's as Jason Todd, this was a perfect casting decision and I loved every moment he was onscreen. He captures the recklessness of Jason Todd as Robin in his performance and when he talks about his troubled background he really sells it. Jason Todd sees being Robin as like a game, both the writing and Curran sell this. The action in this episode is probably the best the series has had, it's really only one scene but that one scene has everything about Titans action that is so good. This is the first episode I really cared about Dick moving on from Batman and this "edgy" take on Dick Grayson and that's because there is actual character development in this episode, thanks to some brief but well done flashbacks and just exploring Dicks life Pre Batman, I think this is because it's hard to develop Dicks hatred for Batman and Bruce when they weren't allowed to have him onscreen, so actually having characters to work off of is likely why the writing is better. But one thing I have noticed is that the best/good/decent episodes have Richard Hatem involved in the writing room. Anyways I can't wait to see Red Hood in Season 3 and I hope that Jason Todd becoming Red Hood isn't bad like the 2 seasons I wasted watching Dick for him becoming Nightwing to STILL feel rushed. I can't recommend this show without first seeing Season 3, because rightnow Season 2 is not worth sitting through, it is a mediocre and at times terrible mess. But if you don't really care about spoilers you should check out Episode 4 and this episode because I do think they are really really good episodes of television.

Nope. Just doesn't make sense
nealeh42-948-22957330 November 2019
Exactly what is Batman doing in this world? Since when has Dick Grayson been such a miserable excuse for a human being, much less a hero?

Jason Todd, at least, is pretty true to his history, and I hope we get a chance to vote him off the island again
