The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

Looking for great stand-up on Netflix? We count down twenty-five highly recommended comedy specials on the streaming service...
In the face of ever-declining DVD sales, Netflix has quickly become the foremost place to discover new stand-up material. The streaming giant is on track to release over 50 exclusive specials in 2017 alone, signing big names (with big cheques) from both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.

There is a downside to this remarkable release schedule, though. Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle and Jerry Seinfeld have all been featured this year alone: with only so many column inches (and so much screen space) to occupy,...

It’s been 19 years and fans are still debating the “Seinfeld” finale. One of the most-anticipated sendoffs of all time, the comedy’s last episode also proved to be one of the most divisive. Jerry Seinfeld was asked about the polarizing last hurrah at the New Yorker Festival last night, where he admitted that “I sometimes think we really shouldn’t have even done it.”

“There was a lot of pressure on us at that time to do one big last show, but big is always bad in comedy,” he continued. Rather, it should be “small and cheap and quick,” which is why Seinfeld also thinks TV is always funnier than movies, “because you don’t have that much time and that much money.” The episode ends with all four...

“For so many people, learning is a chore, but laughing is not. If we can combine learning with laughing, you can teach anybody, anything,” says famed American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who does exactly that as host of the National Geographic talk show StarTalk, which returns on Sunday, Oct. 1 with a new season of facts, laughs and plenty of A-list guests.
While the show regularly features scientific commentary and cosmic queries, it’s all delivered with a comedic punch. And in today’s polarizing political climate, Tyson says “it’s a comedian’s obligation to challenge social, cultural and political norms.” If they are not, then no one is being challenged to think, he adds.
So it makes sense then that so many funny people, including Ben Stiller, Jay Leno, Larry Wilmore and Whoopi Goldberg, have stopped by the show. “When a comedian is on the show as a guest, I don't seek...

Maybe nothing can live up to the legacy of “Seinfeld,” but if you had to chart Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David’s careers following that show, as David might put it, they’ve both been “Pretty, prettyyy, pretty good.” With Seinfeld’s recent Netflix special “Jerry Before Seinfeld” and the return of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” TheWrap’s Sean Burch and Brian Welk have pitted the post-“Seinfeld” careers of both comics against each other in an epic battle royale… about nothing. Round 1: Shows Sean Burch: You’d have to be on bath salts to debate this one. Somehow, Larry David...

Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up special Jerry Before Seinfeld launched earlier this week, so in honor of that here's yet another new commercial from Netflix that plays off their ad campaign "Netflix Is A Joke." In it, Jerry tries to entertain Frank and Claire Underwood from House Of Cards as the two stare at each other in silence, and in his typical Seinfeld way, Jerry makes the moment way funnier than it should be!

Jerry Seinfeld dusts off some of the best jokes from the early years of his career and presents them to a 2017 audience in his new Netflix stand-up special “Jerry Before Seinfeld,” resulting in a surprisingly introspective hour from the famously impersonal comedian. And that gesture toward self-reflection extended to a Q&A session Seinfeld did with Netflix’s Ted Sarandos following the special’s premiere screening in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The special traces Seinfeld’s career from the initial decision to pursue comedy through his first-ever show at The Comic Strip and his eventual appearance on Johnny Carson’s “Tonight Show,...

Jerry Seinfeld is in a safe space — too safe critics complain. “Jerry Before Seinfeld” hit the Netflix stage on Tuesday, and the reviews are mixed. Seinfeld already gave audiences an intimate portrait of his life in the 2002 documentary “Comedian,” which followed him getting back into stand-up following the conclusion of his sitcom. So people who were hoping for something more personal and telling from “Jerry Before Seinfeld” may be disappointed. The special is a look back on his life told through old family photographs and videos, but it’s mostly him going through his greatest hits and paying tribute to Johnny.

Jerry Seinfeld is a stand-up comedy legend. The comedian’s self-titled sitcom that he created with Curb Your Enthusiasm mastermind Larry David is one of the most successful network comedies of all time, which is impressive for a show that is famously about nothing. Plus, it’s kind of the inspiration for all the sitcoms following stand-up […]

(Aotn) In the hour-long special, Jerry Seinfeld returns to The Comic Strip in New York City for an intimate stand-up set at the club that helped launch his career. Interspersed with never-before-seen material — including a library of legal pads with every joke he’s written since 1975, childhood videos, and more — Jerry performs the jokes that put him on the comedy map.
