This 23-minute documentary covers lots of interesting and informative ground on how the special make-up f/x for "Rawhead Rex" were done, with a specific emphasis on how the harried special effects team had to scramble under a frantic four week deadline in order to make the Rawhead Rex costume on time. Moreover, we also learn that Peter Mayhew was originally considered to play Rawhead Rex, but his fee was too high; the Rawhead costume was a single piece with latex skin, an animatronic head of the monster was built for close-ups (said monster looked more like a grotesque phallus in Clive Barker's short story!), and the movie was shot during a freezing cold winter. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
