Highly entertaining interview with actress Franca Stoppi who discusses her work in Joe D'Amato's BEYOND THE DARKNESS. This interview was recorded before her death and released in 2017 by Severin as part of their Blu-ray release of the cult shocker. There are a number of great stories here including how she ended up getting the role, what it was like shooting the more gory sections of the picture as well as her objections to a few of the things done to the chimp in the film. If you're a fan of D'Amato or of the film in question then you'll certainly enjoy this interview as it gives you a very good idea of what it was like shooting a low-budget movie back in the day. We get some nice stories about the gore scenes in the picture as well as a few comments on her appearance in THE OTHER HELL from Mattei.
