Sex & Nudity

  • The humor of the show comes from unpredictability of the Google Translate software, because of this, there's some sexual innuendo in the lyrics that get used.
  • Occasionally, if the lyrics sound suggestive, Malinda will act seductively as she sings them. However, any time Google translated lyrics call for nudity, nudity is covered.

Violence & Gore

  • A mushroom cloud can be seen in the "New Rules" video.
  • Violence is typically handled very humorously and without any significant graphic content. Sometimes, it is just implied (or made more ridiculous) by a sound effect.

Profanity

  • The video series is very lightly peppered with language ranging from "oh my God" to "bitch". It is pretty rare for Malinda to swear and when she does it really is not that bad.
  • Bleeped out F-words in the "Bohemian Rhapsody" video.
  • Occasional bleeped F-words. Also, anytime Google Translate calls for profane gestures (like the middle finger), Malinda's hands are blurred.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In the "Go the Distance" parody, Malinda smokes an obviously fake joint.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • None, although a majority of the videos are very strange.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • In Malinda's translation of "This Is Halloween," there is a line that goes, "Monroe died tonight." This is accompanied by a portrait of President James Monroe, edited to have the stereotypical X's over his eyes and his tongue sticking out.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In her translation of "Memory" from Cats, Malinda includes the lyric "Moses smokes outside." The accompanying graphic shows a picture of a painting of Moses, with a cigarette added to it.
