A look into the future a call to change.
blanbrn19 August 2017
This "Room 104" episode called "I Knew You Weren't Dead" is one that's pretty simple in it's story showing and proving that life needs to be lived now with change as looking into the future has grim results. A man in room 104 is visited by his best friend a ghost who later dies and his advice is given to his friend the man's advice on life and love as his marriage has just ended. Overall this episode is one of doubt and uncertain regret and it proves that one must live out their life and a glimpse into the future wakes one up when they see the loss of a best friend. Pretty good moral glimpse type episode that keeps things real and true to life as it's message is for one to face reality and live in the now.

Been there, seen that....

I posted my reviews of all 4 Eps in 'Knockadoo'. This is what I have to say about Ep 4.

......This will be the last one of these that I will watch. A half hour about a guy who feels guilty over how his friend died? I have seen this many many times and most times it wasn't as boring as this.

I read somewhere that Room104 was 'Black Mirror' done by the Duplass Bros. Well, I loved Black Mirror and I hope these brothers come nowhere near that show!

Excellent Writing

This episode is a perfect example of great writing. The concept is fairly simple, and so is the message. However, what really makes this episode great is its relatability. It's one of the things which can make movies and shows powerful. The writer creates believable characters which are completely authentic. They then create a setting that the audience can relate to -- making the atmosphere feel as real, and familiar, as possible. Once a writer has done that, they're truly able to capture the audience, and draw us into the story.

My favorite genre is, easily, science fiction. This approach works, even for that genre. When a writer creates a relatable, realistic atmosphere with authentic characters, and then couples that with a thought-provoking, interesting concept and story (science fiction), the result is a timeless, powerful classic.

I give this episode nine stars because the writer "gets it". Not all writers do, so, well done. I can't give it a ten, because, in order for it to be perfect, for me, it'd have to entail a more sci-fi concept.

The show "Black Mirror", is probably the best I've seen, with this sort of thing; since it's predominantly sci-fi. However, the biggest problem with "Black Mirror" is that it sometimes has sexual content; which is always a minus, in my book.

A simple story bt great direction, ery thoughtful. The plot can really make us feel more attached & relatable. It shows that how our thoughts can kill us bt something that isnt possible in real life is shown here and turned it into positive. I think thats what movies/series are all about. I even cried at the end.
