It's just sandwiches there!

This one I could watch over and over again. First Steve sings so you know it's going to be a good one, and he doesn't disappoint :) Secondly, the storyline is pretty touching but it doesn't get too sappy or preachy. The ending is sweet too. But there are still some silly and clever scenes that I laughed out loud at. American dad is consistently trying new things and writing funny original stuff. This episode is one of them.

A different episode and in a great way

The episode is set in the Old West where Avery Bullock is a notorious gang member with his colleagues posing as his henchmen and the townsfolks that still hope for the arrival of some saviour that will free them from the gang. Stan Smith is an outlaw that is chasen by Roger and only Hayley and Francine can trust him. Of course the viewer will know where this is going.

With so many episodes set in Langley Falls it was nice seeing an episode set in the old West and it was also a way for seeing our usual characters in different garbs (such as Avery Bullock wearing a black uniform and cowboy hat) and also with different jobs (Principal Lewis was a barber in the old West). And it's perfect for folks who watch Westerns from time to time (such as me).

West to Mexico

Warning: Spoilers
Alternate universe episodes are quite hit or miss on Family Guy and American Dad and this one was a big time miss. Outside of Stan not sure about directions there was not much to laugh about here. Maybe it was a little too accurate as I don't care for Westerns, so the parody aspect did not work.

Surprised they went with this as the season finale.
