I admit that this episode does kind of seem like filler given how important the next episode is, but it was still a lot of fun. It seemed weird to have this be a full half hour, but it really worked here. This episode's plot features a guy trying to perform a song for Star to celebrate her as a princess. I loved how we got to see Queen Butterfly let her hair and clothes down and be a true warrior! She meets up with Ludo's parents and we actually get some pretty funny bits with his mother listing all of his other siblings.
In the end, Star's song is performed with saying that she lost the spellbook and Glossaryck to Ludo. Even more shockingly, there's an unscheduled part where the singer claims Star is in love with Marco. Called it! It's great to see Hekapoo again as well. I'm glad to be more familiar by seeing all the Magic Council at the same time. It does get a lot more amazing later, but it's still a great episode you have to see. Marco already looks like a prince when he arrives on the song scene! ***1/2
