In History's worst week ever for so-called "Michigan Men" . . .
cricket305 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
. . . two of the three most notorious U of M graduates suffered what one judge called a "virtual death penalty." (Of course, the third of this infamous "Michigan Men" trio--one-time U.S. President Gerald "Stumble-foot" Ford--already is no more.) People who live in this misnamed "Wolverine State" know well that Ann Arbor harbors a viper's nest of corrupt menaces to society. Ford rightly remains an anathema for his cover-up pardon of "Tricky Dick" Nixon, and Dr. Larry purposely set out establishing a new world record for child abuse to fulfill the promise he made to his U-M classmates to "destroy the Michigan State University Spartans forever!" However, virtue triumphed over evil in Super Bowl LII, as one-time Spartan quarterback and current Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles won the MVP award as he beat the pants off New England's "Michigan Man," QB Tom Brady. The latter loser seemed greatly distracted as he fumbled away the Patriot's Season. Some folks thought that this was because the Eagles are an even tougher test for "Michigan Men" than, say, the boys of Appalachian State. But looking behind the scenes, you'll see that collectively the U of M crime cartel and its roster of "Michigan Men" grads are on the hook for $10 billion over Nassargate ($2 billion for the Michigan Man's victims--whether Olympians or not--and $8 billion for reparations to MSU for their evil Michigan Man Trojan Horse attack from within). Cousin Tom Brady was clearly fretting about the $20 million check for which he's personally going to be on the hook as his share of the "Michigan Men" plot against we "Little People" unable to afford and/or stomach Brady's snooty old stomping ground in Ann Arbor.

Eagles Finally Winners
shelbythuylinh13 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Bad News as Nick Foles the MVP of the game is going to be a one hit wonder it seems but the good news he did win the MVP in place over in injured regular QB at the time Carson Wentz now with the Colts.

Tom Brady gave it his all and so did the Patriots but the Fly Eagles Fly crowd and team wanted it over in more. Had they had then SB 49 hero Malcolm Butler there, it may had been a different story but he got suspended the night before.

Wow! Finally at last my favorite team the Eagles win a Super Bowl!
blanbrn11 February 2018
This victory is touching and emotional as my favorite "NFL" team the "Philadelphia Eagles" have finally done it! They are world champs! So special for me as I've been a fan since the mid to late 80's when I first started watching football and also liking the color green and my little league team I played on were the Eagles! In the start of being a fan of the green I loved the play of the tough sack happy defense lead by the now late Reggie White and Jerome Brown and the best defensive master mind the now late Buddy Ryan. Plus the eye catching play of QB Randall Cunningham was a beauty. Still despite the good play and talent the team would always lose out in the first round of the playoffs.

The heart break and struggle would continue with the Rich Kotite and Ray Rhodes's teams despite good play and playoff wins both burned out and were fired. Then the Andy Reid era was a success with a lot of wins yet the "Super Bowl" was never meant as the team was always cursed with playoffs loses. Then the Chip Kelly era was a mess his quick run and gun college style had no place in the "NFL".

Yet with Doug Pederson this "Eagles" team was different as the 2017 season was lead by QB Carson Wentz however a late season ending knee injury had folks worried, never fear St. Nick arrived flying high for the playoffs and into the Super Bowl.

"The Eagles" again heavy underdogs in "Super Bowl LII" upset the "Pats" in a hard fought contest punch for punch with a lot of offensive yards a football record breaker of 1,151 total net!. Yet "LII" "MVP" Eagles QB Nick Foles threw for 373 yards and 3 TD passes, and became the first QB in "Super Bowl" history to also catch a pass for a TD! Plus the Eagles ground game of 164 total was lead by a two headed monster attack with Blount(14 carries for 90 yards 1TD) and Ajayi(9 carries for 57 yards). And 3rd down RB Clement had 4 rec for 100 yards and a TD catch! And the dependable TE Zach Ertz caught the game winning TD catch!

And despite pretty boy Tom Brady having a field day throwing for a record 505 yards on a late drive he was finally stripped sacked by DE Brandon Graham and the fumble recovered by DE rookie Barnett now that won the game so fly eagles fly finally a super bowl win! A tribute to all past birds like Andy Reid, White, Ryan, and Cunningham who should have won one but didn't. As Eagle fans and the city of Philadelphia was long over due, as it shows what team work can do. Wow really greatest and best "Super Bowl" ever as it was meant and fate that the Pats lose and the Eagles win!

The pure joy of victory for the Philadelphia Eagles (41 points) FIRST SUPERBOWL WIN- and the agony of defeat for the New England Patriots (33 points)
Ed-Shullivan6 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This was a nail biting SuperBowl until the bitter end when the final score was achieved rendering the Philadelphia Eagles with 41 points and the New England Patriots with 33. The 2017-2018 NFL MVP was awarded to New England patriots quarterback Tom Brady who completed 28 of 48 passes for an eye popping 505 yards and three touchdowns.

Nick Foles who was called in to action for the last couple of regular season games due to a season ending injury of the predicted NFL MVP (if most likely not for his late season injury) Carson Wentz did not disappoint his coaches, his teammates and especially his hometown Eagles fans. Nick Foles won all his playoff games to bring the Eagles to the big dance, and he led his team with 28 completed passes of 43 attempts for 373 yards and throwing 3 touchdowns and catching another touchdown of his own for a surprise play that fooled the Patriots defense and will be shown on replays for decades to come. It is interesting to note that earlier in the game, Tom Brady attempted a similar play but the ball slipped off his finger tips as he was attempting to catch the ball. Another key play with just over 2 minutes left in the game was when Tom Brady had the ball stripped from his hand while he was reaching back to make the throw and the ball was recovered by Philadelphia allowing them to kick a 3 point field goal for an 8 point lead.

I can't wait for this game to be released on DVD so I can watch the game over and over. My compliments to both teams for putting on one of the greatest SuperBowls in the past few decades. Oh, one last comment. The little known (before this big game) Eagles quartertback Nick Foles was awarded the SuperBowl MVP trophy for his winning performance and his leadership on and off the field.

Super Bowl 52
bobcobb3016 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This one hurts to write about. I am a Patriots fan and I was hoping for a 6th Title, but I guess you can't win every year.

The Eagles were a rare #1 seed that was an underdog all playoff long, but they completed the improbable run.

A great, competitive game, just disappointed by the result.
