Much better! 👍

This second episode "Who's Your Daddy" was far superior to the season opener.

A perfect concoction of visual comedy with a decent script. There were some truly laugh out loud moments. The pace was fast and the dialogue funny & witty. Karen and Jack, once again proving they can make us laugh by being just downright surreal & ridiculous.

After the season premiere's lukewarm episode I am genuinely relieved that WAG is showing a return to form. This outing felt effortless as opposed to the seemingly forced attempt of "11 Years Later".

I give S.9 Ep.2 8/10 for some truly hilarious moments.

Getting closer to classic Will and Grace
gregoryjames6 October 2017
This latest episode is as close to the classic W&G era as we're ever likely to get. I *loved* it... however, I also hesitate to say that, because I also said I *loved* last week's episode, but it took watching this week's to realise last week's was not that great. So there's clearly a nostalgia factor I have to consider when rating.

That said, tons of classic W&G elements were present: Sean Hayes did what he does best in the brilliantly slapstick magnet/makeup scenes. He's just such a fine physical actor. Will had a strong episode that was true to his character, with Eric McCormack shining in the senior gay lecture scenes. Again, it played to Eric's strength: he's so great with the wordy, manic monologues.

Sadly, the weak points for the second week in a row were Karen and Grace. Megan Mullally did a great job but was relegated to B-story supporting material again. And Debra Messing, while a lot calmer than last week, is the last of the four to find her old groove: she continues to be shouty and shrill at times. It's such a shame as Debra was probably the most accomplished, albeit broad, comedian of the four back in the day - at her peak, she pretty much channeled Rita Hayworth and Lucille Ball. Still, I think she'll find the sweet spot again; there are glimpses of it, but she perhaps hasn't had the material yet. There are hints that Leo might be back next week, so fingers crossed she'll have the chance to shine again. I do hope so, because in many ways Grace has always been the heart of this show.

Hilarious!

Great writing and physical comedy. The shower scene is reminiscent of "I Love Lucy" at its best.

Stale Jokes Stolen from Other Sitcoms
Man992046 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Remember when Will and Grace had new and innovative writing? Well, you won't find it in this episode. They steal shamelessly from any number of sitcoms over the last sixty years. Particularly annoying is an extended "Two women trapped in a shower stall" which was taken directly from a 1963 "Here's Lucy" episode. Next week will we have Grace becoming intoxicated while trying to do a VitaMetaVegamin Commercial?

It has been eleven years since these characters were last seen. The writing staff expects us to believe that none of them have grown or matured. Things which were cute for a thirty year old, are gross and kind of creepy for someone pushing fifty to do.

The one good thing this sitcom has going for it is that there were absolutely no superheroes or mutants in the entire half hour. For that reason alone, I will probably continue to watch it

Hit and miss

Two episodes in and I can't say the 'Will and Grace' reunion/revival has done anything to convince me that they should have left it alone after a really acceptable 8 year run previously.

I thought the idea of different generations of gay people dating, and Will's monologue at the end was great, that showed that this revival has potential, but the other story with Grace and Karen was a bit of a dud, with a predictable climax.

It's been a hit and miss revival so far.
