Two young brothers recently performed a grunge version of the Dolly Parton staple “Jolene” during the blind auditions on The Voice Kids in Germany, stirring up a frenzy among the coaches that resulted in a mosh pit.
Singer-guitarist Matti (age 15) and his younger brother, drummer Valentin (age 11), who perform under the band name Wtf (Welcome to Future), rocked through Parton’s oft-covered classic, giving it an extra-heavy spin. Matti’s haunting vocals were punctuated by a powerful scream, backed up by Valentin.
Not only did the two brothers get all four chairs to turn around, a pair of coaches who work together — Michi and Smudo — were so inspired by the rock-fueled performance that they asked to take the stage and play the instruments themselves, as the brothers sat in their coaches’ chairs.
Michi and Smudo then broke into an impromptu Sex Pistols-inspired song that led Matti and Valentin to start a mosh pit.

Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has issued a statement after being violently assaulted last week outside of a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The assailant, 19-year-old Max Edward Hartley, was arrested shortly after the incident and has been charged with four counts of criminal mischief; one count of misdemeanor battery; and one count of aggravated battery (per a Fort Lauderdale police incident report).
Hartley allegedly charged at Allen, who hit his head after being knocked to the ground. The assailant also apparently attacked a woman who tried to interfere in the incident, hitting her repeatedly and dragging her by the hair.
In his statement to ABC News on Sunday (March 19th), Allen took a tone of empathy rather than one of accusation:
“Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support. Your love and prayers are truly helping. My wife Lauren [Monroe] was thankfully not with me at the time of the incident.

The doc follows Haaland – one of European football’s most talented players – as he decided last Spring whether to join Manchester City, the club he made his Premier League debut for last weekend with two goals. His father Alfie Haaland, who played in the Premier League for eight years, will join Viaplay’s Premier League broadcasts as an expert analyst, as the Nordic group pushes further into the sports rights game, most recently acquiring Premier Sports.

After Simon Cowell compared “America’s Got Talent” shy singer Benicio Bryant to One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, the 14-year-old later admitted that it “absolutely freaked me out.” In his “Agt” interview for NBC (watch above), Benicio declared, “I was really nervous about what he was going to say, and he was the first one to stand which made me happy.” In case you missed it, Benicio performed Brandi Carlile‘s “The Joke” during last week’s audition episode of the reality TV show and received four “yes” votes from Simon, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough, which means we’ll next see him in the Judge Cuts round.

Is Simon Cowell looking to sign “America’s Got Talent” finalist Courtney Hadwin to a record deal?
Several news outlets, including the U.K.’s Daily Mail, are reporting that Cowell — formerly of “American Idol” and a current judge on “Agt” as well as “X Factor U.K.” — is keen to add the 14-year old rocker to his artist roster at Syco Entertainment, which includes “Agt” season 11 winner Grace Vanderwall.
While a representative for Cowell would not comment on whether a signing is in the works, the spokesperson did confirm that the teen vocalist, who finished sixth in the competition and was eliminated on Sept. 19, met with Cowell the day after the Sept. 20 finale at his house. This news comes on the heels of the announcement that Hadwin will join the season 13 “Agt” winner, magician Shin Lin, in Las Vegas.

But, now that we've heard that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reality show fans too, we feel a little better about spending hours watching mindless TV. According to Hello!, Meghan, 36, and Harry, 33, are the huge fans of The Voice Kids and love watching the competition show at home together. In fact, the newlyweds enjoy the series so much that Meghan couldn't contain herself when she recently got the chance to meet former contestant Donel Mangena. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) While recently appearing on the UK morning show Lorraine, 16-year-old Mangena recalled the exciting time he got to meet the royals at Queen Elizabeth's 92nd birthday party earlier this year.
